bring disney inside your home

Craving some pixie-dust, but you aren’t able to sneak away to your favorite Disney destination? Although Walt Disney World Resort has reopened to the public, are you not quite ready to visit due to the pandemic?  While nothing can truly beat the magic Disney brings inside the parks or aboard Disney Cruise Line, it is possible to bring the magic of Disney inside your home! All it takes is a little faith, trust, and pixie-dust! Here are a few magical ideas to bring Disney inside your home.

How to Bring the Magic of Disney Inside Your Home

It’s no secret that our family LOVES everything and anything Disney! We’re Disney Vacation Club Members, as well as Annual Passholders. We visit Walt Disney World Resort at least two times per year. Because we enjoy all things Disney, we often find ourselves searching for a little bit of Disney magic inside of our house. It’s really quite easy to do! Here are a few of our favorite ways to bring the magic of Disney home.

Watch our favorite Disney movies

While it might sound like something so simple, we are always up for watching one of our favorite Disney movies! We still cannot get enough of Frozen 2, for obvious reasons. You can also relive the classics…or take in a new live-action film!

Binge Disney+

If you don’t have Disney Plus yet, are you even a Disney fan? Kidding. Sort of. But in all honesty, there is SO much great content available on Disney+. You have access to almost every Disney movie AND television show imaginable. PLUS, there are several Disney Plus originals! Have you seen the live-action Lady and The Tramp? It’s so adorable! How about The Mandalorian? Or High School Musical: The Musical: The Series? No matter what you are in the mood to watch, you can be sure to find it on Disney Plus!

If you’re looking for a family-friendly show to binge, here are some great options!

Add Disney decor to your home!

We have Disney touches all throughout our house. Our kids spot “hidden Mickey’s” (that aren’t even intentional), on a daily basis. I’ve been working on setting up my office, and there will be a lot of Disney decor in there. Our most recent project was this beautiful sign in our guest room!

Disney has MANY themed games, and we personally own several of them! Some of our favorites are: Pictopia, Eye Found It, and Monopoly! Have your very own Disney themed family game night!

Disney Printable Activities

Did you know Disney creates fun free printable activity packets to celebrate the release of a new movie? They usually include a combination of printable coloring pages, games, mazes, etc. Here are a few to get you started:

  • Disney Pixar’s Onward Coloring and Activity Sheets
  • Frozen 2 Printable Activity Kit
  • Moana Printable Coloring Pages and Activities
  • Beauty and The Beast Coloring Pages

Try out a Disney inspired recipe

We all know Disney has the best snacks! Whether you like them Mickey shaped or enjoy that famous Dole Whip, Disney fans are continuously dreaming about that yummy food! There are many copycat recipes you can find online. So type in whatever you’re craving, and try it out!

While this isn’t a copycat recipe, these Buzz Lightyear floats inspired by Disney Pixar’s Toy Story is the perfect accompaniment to indulging on while watching Toy Story 4.

The Disney blues are a real thing. Especially when you come home from a recent vacation. However, the Coronavirus pandemic is certainly making things even more difficult. I hope these ways to bring the magic of Disney inside your home will sprinkle a bit of pixie-dust upon your family. We’ll be back to our happy place real soon!
