Day 3 of the 2017 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration had arrived. If you’re just getting started, you’ll want to read Day 1 and Day 2 first. Day 3 started off (very) bright and early. We hopped on our private bus at 7:15 AM to head to AMC Theater at Disney Springs. When we arrived, we viewed a special advance screening of DisneyNature’s newest film, Born in China.
I am not going to talk too much about Born in China, because I’m planning a separate post all about it — but I will say I enjoyed it very much. It’s very family-friendly, and a must for animal lovers. It opens on Earth Day, April 21, 2017. Make sure you see it opening week because a donation will be made in your honor to the World Wildlife Fund.
Our screening of Born in China was followed-up with a Q&A session with the film producer, Roy Conli. This was my first time EVER experiencing a Q&A with a producer. I was so flippin’ excited! Roy told us some behind the scenes info that goes into making a DisneyNature film.

Next we were introduced to Dan Cockerell, Vice President of Magic Kingdom. Dan told us about some exciting new happenings at Disney Parks. Starting May 12, 2017, Magic Kingdom will have a new fireworks show! “Happily Ever After” will light up the sky like you’ve never seen before!

If you’re heading to Walt Disney World before May 12th, make sure you catch “Wishes” one last time at Magic Kingdom!
Dan also talked about Rivers of Light, the reimagining of the Disney Wonder, and Pandora: The World of Avatar.

This concluded our land portion of the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. Now it was time to head to SEA!! We boarded our buses and headed off to Port Canaveral! Disney Cruise Line, here we come!!
Disney Wonder Cruise Line

For those who have never cruised with Disney before, it is an experience unlike no other. Walking onto the Wonder, a cast member asked for our family’s last name. All of a sudden we hear “Welcome to The Allen Family!!”

Disney Wonder Welcome
So fun! My family headed to checkout our stateroom and go swimming, while I had a private Influencer only lunch at Animator’s Palate. I chose a yummy pasta with these scrumptious giant shrimp. It was delicious…but the dessert trio was definitely my favorite!

After our tasty lunch, we headed to a private Welcome Reception and heard a few words from the Captain. We toasted with some champagne, and were on our way!
I met up with my family and we decorated our cabin door with our fun magnets and hung our fish extender.

We walked around the ship for a bit. There’s so much to see and explore! None of us have EVER been on a cruise before, so this was all so new and exciting!!
Soon it was time for dinner. We (thankfully) had the early seating at 5:45 PM. I don’t know how we would have survived the later 8:15 PM seating with two little kids! Dinner was at Tiana’s Place. The ambiance and entertainment was incredible. We even got to meet Tiana herself!

They feed you very well onboard Disney Cruise Line. The beignets were sooooo good. They were fluffy and dusted with just the right amount of powdered sugar, served with an espresso dipping sauce. Lincoln and Avery thoroughly enjoyed their share of endless Mickey ice cream bars!
The show for the evening was The Golden Mickey’s – a tribute to the enchanting movies of Walt Disney, complete with a red carpet! While I wish we attended this live show, my boys were DONE! So done. They were beyond exhausted. I knew if we wanted to enjoy our cruise, they needed to go to bed early. So we made the decision to have an early night.
Disney Wonder Bunk Beds
They were thrilled with their sleeping accommodations — BUNK BEDS!! Let me tell you something. Lincoln and Avery both sleep with me every single night. On the Wonder? They wonderfully slept in the bunk beds each night. I think a bunk bed investment might happen sooner rather than later ๐Ÿ˜‰
What an incredible third day — and still so much more magic to go!

I was invited to the 2017 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. I paid a nominal conference fee to attend and received discounted & complimentary items from Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and their sponsors. I was not asked to write about my experience. All opinions are my own.
