Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. Day 2 had arrived — Make sure you read Day 1 first!! Day 2 started bright and early with an Influencer only event at Epcot! Attendees were welcomed for a private ride on Soarin’ Around the World!! I was so excited!
Soarin’ is probably my favorite ride at Disney World. I am very limited with what I am physically able to ride, and for the longest time I thought I was unable to ride Soarin’. When we visited Disney last October, my mom went on it for the first time. She couldn’t wait to tell me it was perfectly safe for me to ride!
Riding Soarin’ is always an incredible experience, however, for this flight I was right in the middle section in row 1. I’ve heard people say once you’ve experienced row 1, no other rows will compare. It is so true. If you ever have the opportunity, ride in row 1. I’ve heard you can even wait to ride in row 1 for the next ride and cast members won’t mind. It’s totally worth it! Do it!!
Next we walked a bit for a group photo. Right in front of Spaceship Earth. What a beautiful day!
By now we were all so hungry — good thing, because it was time for our yummy breakfast sponsored by Alamo!!
YUM!! Did I ever tell you breakfast is my favorite meal? And Mickey waffles topped with strawberries, whipped cream, AND chocolate chips?! YES PLEASE!!
We had a surprise guest speaker — Olympian Dominique Dawes!

Dominique was so inspirational, sharing her relationship with sponsor GoGo squeeZ. She has done some phenomenal work — including working side-by-side with Michelle Obama!
Next it was time to head over to the Sponsor Showcase. Here we were able to meet face-to-face with our fabulous sponsors: Alamo, GoGo SqueeZ, Hanes, Joffrey’s Coffee & Twinings Tea, Neutrogena, and HSN was featuring their exclusive Beauty and The Beast line!
These items were so exquisite! The Beauty and The Beast “book” is actually a purse! Also, all of the jewelry was absolutely stunning. I loved the intricate detail of the castle necklace and ring.

yes, that’s “the” rose!!! |
Once we were finished with the Sponsor Showcase, we had one of two different options to choose from: We could participate in the “Social Media Challenge,” where we would be given a $250 gift card to shop at Disney Springs. We would have to shop for one of three different categories (Savvy Fashionista, Disney-fied Fun, or Disney Bounding). Afterwards we were asked to create a collage on instagram.
Our other option was to have some park time with our families. Guess which one I chose?
I chose the extra family time. I had two little boys who really missed their Mommy — and I missed them too! Honestly, if I was there on my own I would have absolutely participated in the Social Media Challenge; or maybe even if my boys were a little older. But Disney is about families, and I wanted to spend this time doing what my kids wanted — play in the parks!!
We hit up a few of our favorite family-friendly rides like The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Journey Into Imagination, and Spaceship Earth. Lincoln requested a ride with his Mom on Soarin’ — although I had a special private ride earlier that morning, I could never pass that up! Lincoln and Avery both rode Test Track with their Daddy and Grandpa. While that is a ride I am unable to do, Alamo provided all attendees with a $50 Disney gift card!! I decided to do some shopping at one of my favorite shops in Epcot, Mouse Gear! I had to buy myself some snazzy new Minnie ears!!
We grabbed a quick lunch and spent some time in the DVC Lounge to relax while the boys played Disney Infinity. Then we decided it was time to take the boat on over to Hollywood Studios for our evening activities!

clearly Avery was a fan of the boat ride! |
We had a little bit of time before our family dinner, so we made sure to utilize our time wisely. We decided to head straight to Toy Story Mania — a family favorite. Next, I grabbed a coffee from Joffrey’s. I love the “DVC Special.” If you’re a Disney Vacation Club Member, make sure you ask for it! Also? Did you know if you’re a Disney Visa Cardholder you can receive 20% off your purchase at Joffrey’s? I love to save!! Avery needed his popcorn fix. And finally, we headed to Star Tours for Lincoln and Jared.
Finally, it was time to head to our Family Pizza Party at PizzeRizzo! This is a brand new venue at Hollywood Studios themed to the Muppet’s favorite rat, Rizzo!! Here we were escorted upstairs to a private area to feast on endless pizza, pasta, and salad. YUM!! While we do not have any dietary restrictions in our family, I was happy to hear that PizzeRizzo offered something for all guests, including vegan dishes.
After our delicious dinner, we were directed to our special VIP reserved seating of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. I’ve seen this fireworks display before, however I never saw it from such a great view! This show is unlike anything I’ve ever seen where clips from movies are displayed throughout; it tells a story! Very cool!! Here is a clip:
After our spectacular show, we were invited to a private Family Galactic Dessert party; featuring Star Wars themed desserts! We also were able to interact with some characters. Storm Troopers were walking around — they’re always super fun. We also met Pluto and Jake!
What a night!! What a day!! Day 2 at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was jam packed with magic everywhere we turned!

I was invited to the 2017 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. I paid a nominal conference fee to attend and received discounted & complimentary items from Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and their sponsors. I was not asked to write about my experience. All opinions are my own.
