We had a wonderful day at Animal Kingdom on our recent Disney vacation. Animal Kingdom is a beautiful park to slow down your pace and look around. Their aren’t as many rides, but favorites were TriceraTop Spin, Primeval Whirl, and of course Kilimanjaro Safari. Kali River Rapids is another favorite, but it was closed while we were there. One of Lincoln’s favorites was The Boneyard, located in DinoLand USA. This was a great open play area for the kids. There are different play structures, and areas for the parents to sit and take a break. Avery napped in his stroller while Lincoln played. He is at the age where I could comfortably let him explore on his own. He would check-in with me every few minutes. The area is great and secure. There’s a cast member at the entrance and exit of the exhibit. He seriously would have played there all day!
We were able to catch Mickey and Minnie in their safari attire for a quick photo!

Tink wanted to surprise my mom and me!  And, I can never get enough of the Tree of Life. I think you could stare at it all day, and still find new things to see.

Let me hear you ROAR!!!

We had a lunch reservation at the Rainforest Cafe. The boys loved the atmosphere. They had a scavenger hunt on the menu, and Lincoln loved walking around with my mom trying to find everything. Avery loved the giant fish tank!

Both boys enjoyed playing the drums in Africa!

I am really looking forward to the next time we visit Animal Kingdom. Their new nighttime show, Rivers of Light, will be there. It looks absolutely amazing, and I think it will be a fabulous addition to the park. Right now, Animal Kingdom does not have nighttime hours. Adding evening entertainment will be huge for the park! I’m really excited!!
