May 6th, is known as Wishbone Day. Wishbone Day was created to help spread awareness of Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Because I have OI, this day means a lot to me. The more awareness we can spread, the more research can be done, and hopefully we’ll be one step closer to finding a cure.
I have type 1 OI, the most mild form. I have broke 15 bones, and have had two major surgeries because of this disorder. Any child I have, has a 50% chance of inheriting the gene. My sweet little Lincoln, is OI free ๐ He really is my perfect, STRONG, miracle.
