Can you believe this is my 100th post? Because I surely can’t! It feels like just yesterday I was writing my introduction post, telling you all about my miscarriage and thyroid cancer. Now, here I am, thyroid cancer is in my past, and I have the sweetest baby boy in the world ๐ What more could anyone ask for! So, what will my 100th post be about you ask? Well, obviously my sweet boy…did you expect something else?! Okay, here it goes. Over the past three days, Lincoln has mastered rolling from his back to his tummy. The result? One happy baby, sleeping on his belly, all.night.long. That’s great, right?! Well, it has its ups and downs. First and foremost, it makes me worry. I am *constantly* checking the monitor for fear that his little face will be all smooshed, face down. If it doesn’t look right, I seriously run in there to take a peak at his little nose. All has been fine, it’s just Momma worrying! Also, with him being on his belly all night, he seems to be peeing through his diapers…no fun! We have been using Pampers Baby Dry at nighttime, but obviously they’re not doing the trick, so if anyone has any suggestions…pulease help a Momma out!
On the other hand, he seems to sleep MUCH better on his belly, which of course is a good thing! Check him out, all snuggled up with his seahorse ๐ Also check out the pad we have on top of his crib sheet [because he peed through and Momma was tooooo tired to change it right away]…
So, looks like we have a belly sleeper. Am I surprised? Not at all. I expected as much. For the first two months of Lincoln’s life, he slept on his belly, on his Daddy’s chest. It’s the only way the three of us could get even an ounce of sleep! So there you have it, my 100th post. Here’s to many hundreds more ๐
