Happy 6th Birthday, Lincoln!

November 23, 2009 at 8:43 AM. That day, that moment, my life changed forever. You, my sweet boy, made me a Mommy. I will never forget your Daddy placing you into my arms for the first time. You were crying, but as soon as I held you, you rested your head on my chest, and calmed right down. You knew I was your Momma.

How quickly the time has passed. Today, you are 6 years old! This year you have really grown. It’s been a very trying year for our family, however, you never fail to amaze me. 

I feel so incredibly blessed to have such a genuinely kindhearted, sweet son. Your little personality is infectious, and brightens everyone’s day. You have a gift of making people smile. You make me so very, very proud. 

You are 100% a complete mommy’s boy, and I cannot tell you how much I love that. You’re my best buddy, and my goodness you are FUN!! You can always make me laugh and bring a smile to my face.

I always tell you to never change. You are such a very special boy. I hope you always have such a zest for life. The world is a better place because of you. I know you’re going to do great things in your life…you already have. You never cease to amaze me. I always say, “you’re going to move mountains.” I’m just lucky you chose me to be your Mommy. Thank you. 

Thank you for being my sweet boy. Thank you for being my Lincoln. Thank you for being you.
