I cannot believe the 2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration has already come and gone. After attending the 2017 conference, I recapped each day by individual posts. I felt that was the best way to give you a glimpse into the magic. Those posts were such a hit, I decided to do the same thing this year!
Our day started off bright and early. I’m talking 4 AM early. We had an early flight, and landed at Orlando International Airport by 10 AM! Whenever we visit Walt Disney World, we try to book the earliest flight possible. This allows us to maximize our time at the ‘Most Magical Place on Earth!’
We hopped on the Magical Express and arrived at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. After checking into our hotel room, we headed to the event registration. Here we checked in with the Disney Social Media Moms team (who are seriously the most amazing people ever), snapped a quick photo, and then had the rest of the afternoon free!
2018 DISNEY SOCIAL MEDIA MOMS CELEBRATION | DAY 1 RECAP
We had a few hours before our evening event, so we grabbed a quick lunch at the Pepper Market. Mexican cuisine is one of our favorites, so we indulged on fajitas, quesadillas, and yummy chips.
The kids wanted to head to the pool, so that’s exactly what we did! My husband took the boys in the pool, while my mom and I relaxed on lounge chairs and sipped on fruity drinks.
Soon it was time to get ready to kickoff the event! The moment I put my conference badge around my neck is always such a surreal moment for me. I’ve always dreamed of being a Disney Mom. These events are so special to me, and I truly am grateful for being included.
This years conference badge was beautiful. It even sparkled! Talk about a magic! We were also given the most ADORABLE Minnie Ears I’ve ever seen. The Disney Social Media Moms team had an interchangeable bow made especially for event attendees! I proudly wore those ears!!
The celebration kicked off with an influencer only reception, where we got to mix and mingle with other attendees in a beautiful ballroom. I mean, seriously. What other conference looks like this?!

Soon our fabulous hosts, Leanne and Mark welcomed us to the 2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. Mark and Leanne are the perfect pair. I was great to see them again.

2018 IS THE YEAR OF PIXAR!
We were introduced to the President of Walt Disney World, George Kalogridis. Mr. Kalogridis was eager to tell us a few upcoming attractions headed to Walt Disney World. He proudly declared that 2018 is the YEAR OF PIXAR!!
Disney Pixar Toy Story Land will debut in Shanghai Disneyland on April 26, 2018. Beginning April 13, 2018 Pixar Fest will be a celebration of friendship and beyond throughout the Disneyland Resort in California. And Walt Disney World Resort is gearing up for an Incredible Summer, with the opening celebration of Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios on June 30, 2018, as well as UP A Great Bird Adventure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on April 22, 2018.

After our inspiring presentation from George Kalogridis, Leanne and Mark had a prize drawing for one attendee to win a one night stay in Cinderella Castle! OH MY GOODNESS YOU GUYS!!! Talk about a MAJOR bucket list item!! While my name was not the lucky person to win the stay, I was so happy to even be given the possibility of that chance, and for the lucky Disney Mom who did win!!

It was now time to head to our Family Welcome Dinner, sponsored by Mini Babybel. Did you know? Mini Babybel is the official cheese snack of Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and Disney Cruise Line? I sure didn’t, but I have been a huge fan of Mini Babybel for years! Their cheese is just so creamy and delicious!!
The dinner theme for the evening was PIXAR…which was so appropriate considering 2018 is the YEAR OF PIXAR! We feasted upon yummy food, and even yummier deserts with our families.

After dinner, we were invited to write out postcards for our troops overseas. I thought this was such a beautiful tribute from Disney. We all grabbed a postcard, and wrote a little something special. Even my sweet Lincoln and Avery. After we finished, we dropped them off at the designated area, where Disney would mail our postcards.

PIXAR THEMED PHOTO OPPS!
For the rest of the evening, we were welcome to party with our families with some super fun PIXAR themed photo opportunities! Characters from Toy Story, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, and Inside Out were waiting to snap a photo with us!
My little Avery was really tired after dinner, so my mom headed back to the hotel room with him, while Jared and I stayed to finish the party off with Lincoln! The night was beyond incredible (see what I did there?). It was the perfect evening to the start of the magical 2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration!!

I love conferences like this because you get to see anybody and everybody that does the same thing as you. I would have loved to have gone to the social event. Anything with Disney is always outstanding!
That sounds like such a fun conference. I really love that Disney invites the family to come along, as well. That makes it a much better experience.
I know so many people get excited for this conference. I know I would too! Who wouldn’t love to learn more about Disney behind the scenes.
