If you’re just getting started, you’ll want to read Day 1 first. Day 2 of the 2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration started bright and early! I’m not normally an early riser. However, we were invited to a sunrise breakfast in Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! You guys…Disney Social Media Moms and their families had complete access to Pandora BEFORE THE PARK OPENED!! That also meant we were able to ride Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey as many times as we liked, without long wait times!! Talk about the ultimate VIP experience!
2018 DISNEY SOCIAL MEDIA MOMS CELEBRATION | DAY 2 RECAP #DISNEYSMMC
I really do not think I could adequately put into words the beauty of Pandora – The World of Avatar. As soon as you turn the corner to enter the land, your senses are fully submersed into the experience. The sounds and smells really make you feel as if you’re suddenly on another planet.
I think I could have spent hours just walking around Pandora, taking it all in and snapping photos. BUT, we really wanted to maximize our VIP time there as much as we could! We decided to do the rides BEFORE breakfast. I wasn’t sure if I would be physically able to ride Flight of Passage, but I really, REALLY wanted to. I have to be careful with certain type of rides not only because of the Osteogenesis Imperfecta, but also because of my spinal cord injury. My mom and Lincoln volunteered to ride and test it out for me.
After they finished, they practically ran to me with excitement saying I could ride!! Jared and I anxiously headed to the Que with Lincoln, while my mom stayed back with Avery.
As excited as I was to be able to experience Flight of Passage, Lincoln was even more happier to be able to do this with his mom. He LOVES thrill rides, and there aren’t a lot I am able to do — this was so great for us both.
Flight of Passage was incredible. It’s definitely unlike anything I have ever experienced. Like I said, Lincoln LOVES thrill rides, and usually I’m unable to ride with him. To be able to do something with my son that has never happened, was amazing. He was so happy to do something “normal” and that he truly enjoys with his mom!
Next we decided to experience the Na’vi River Journey. While Flight of Passage was exciting and exhilarating, the Na’vi River Journey was tranquil and beautiful. This was a ride the whole family could enjoy. Avery was in awe of the bioluminescent lights…well, we really all were!
Finally, we enjoyed our breakfast at Satu’li Canteen where we feasted upon Pandora inspired food. When we were finishing up our breakfast, Animal Kingdom opened to other guests. I’m not kidding when I said it was a mad rush to Flight of Passage! There were even cast members directing traffic to keep the lines as organized as possible. While the rest of the world was trying to get into Pandora, we decided to exit, LOL. We were SO thankful for our private time in what I feel is Disney’s most beautiful addition.
We had some free time, so we took a bus over to Epcot to take advantage of our Fast Passes and ride a few of the boys’ favorites, like Spaceship Earth, Soarin’, Frozen Ever After, Test Track, and The Seas with Nemo and Friends.
While Jared, Lincoln, and Avery rode Test Track, my mom and I shopped at Mouse Gear, while I scored the coveted Rose Gold Minnie Ears!! Afterwards we enjoyed a yummy Joffrey’s coffee. The DVC Special is simply divine!
It was time to head to Hollywood Studios, where we had the opportunity to meet with a Disney Imagineer to ask questions about Toy Story Land opening on June 30th!
We are SO excited for Toy Story Land! I think this is going to be such a fun addition to Hollywood Studios!
We capped off our evening with a yummy dinner at PizzeRizzo, sponsored by everyone’s favorite applesauce, GoGo squeeZ!!
MY GOODNESS! What a fun-filled day! We were happily exhausted. I think that night the boys might have set a world record on how quickly they fell asleep!
Day 2 of the 2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was beyond my expectations! It was 100% pure Disney magic, and I got to share that magic with my family.
I was invited to the 2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. I paid a nominal conference fee to attend and received discounted and complimentary items from Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and their sponsors. All magical opinions are my own.
