Based on the bestselling book series, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is now playing in theaters! My son, Lincoln, and I were recently invited to participate in a press junket with Winslow Fegley, who plays “Josh Primm,” in the movie. The film also stars Shawn Mendes as the voice of “Lyle.” You might remember Fegley from his roles in 8-Bit Christmas and Nightbooks.
Winslow Fegley on what he hopes kids will take away from Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile
“I hope that kids will take away that it’s okay to be different than other people. To be unique, in fact, that’s awesome, to be unique to yourself. I hope that kids watching this movie are able to realize they shouldn’t be so hard on themselves, and that they can be confident…and they should be confident in themselves. I hope that kids are able to learn that from this film and they’re able to be confident in themselves, and they’re able to love themselves.”

LYLE, LYLE, CROCODILE SYNOPSIS
Based on the best-selling book series by Bernard Waber, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is a live-action/CGI musical comedy that brings this beloved character to a new, global audience.
When the Primm family (Constance Wu, Scoot McNairy, Winslow Fegley) moves to New York City, their young son Josh struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends. All of that changes when he discovers Lyle – a singing crocodile (Shawn Mendes) who loves baths, caviar and great music-living in the attic of his new home. The two become fast friends, but when Lyle’s existence is threatened by evil neighbor Mr. Grumps (Brett Gelman), the Primm’s must band together with Lyle’s charismatic owner, Hector P. Valenti (Javier Bardem), to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places and there’s nothing wrong with a big singing crocodile with an even bigger personality.
