Well folks, I was mostly single parenting it this week.  Jared was pretty much non-existent between work, hockey, and the little stinker even went to Fenway on Tuesday night!  This Momma needs some “me time” STAT! 
 

Lincoln is still clearly not quite ready to give up his afternoon nap, despite going to bed anywhere between 11pm and 12am each and every night.  It’s getting a bit exhausting, so I thought maybe we could skip the nap and see what happens. 

 

Well, one of two things occur.  Either Lincoln is falling asleep at 5pm, despite me practically jumping on my head to keep him awake, or….it just doesn’t matter.  One day this week he didn’t take a nap and he still didn’t go to bed until 10pm.  I just don’t get it! 

 

So, needless to say me and my BFF coffee had lots of time together this week…

 

So, yes.  It was a crazy week.  My sweet little two year old was being…a two year old. 

And just when I was about to throw my hands up in the air, I get a card in the mail from MY Momma. 

 
 

Seriously.  How did she know I needed that? 

 
I took a deep breath, and went on with my day.  Because it was just Lincoln and myself for dinner, I decided to treat him to his first Happy Meal, AND chocolate milk.  He may have only ate two chicken mcnuggets, but he sure was impressed with that chocolate milk….
 

Pretty funny too, because I drank lots and lots of chocolate milk when I was pregnant with him.  I think we ended up going to bed at 11pm that night…but whatever. 

I did some shopping this week…because I found out that my BFF who is pregnant with twins is having TWO SWEET BOYS!!!!  So, yes.  I shopped and shopped some more!  Seeing the itty bitty blue boy clothes made me reminisce to when Lincoln was a newborn…and I of course thought about how fun it would be to have another boy.  But for now, I get to spoil my TWO nephews 🙂

Lincoln certainly didn’t get left out of the shopping spree.  He walked away with two pair of shoes from Stride Rite, a few shirts I got on clearance for the fall…and these….

 
Little Einsteins sippy cups.  If you’re a Momma to a little one who loves Little Einsteins, then you will know it is just about impossible to find ANYTHING Little Einstein related.  And if you look on amazon or ebay, the prices are astronomical!  I scored these cups at TJMaxx.  They were the only package left.  Lincoln flipped out!  He even squealed, “ROCKET!!!” 
 
Just for fun I looked up how much these cups go for on ebay….
 
$24.99 folks.  I kid you not.  Crazy talk, eh?! 
 
In other news, I got my email confirmation that I am all set up to receive my first ever birchbox!!!  I cannot wait, I tell ya! 
I finished The Hunger Games trilogy this week.  I loved the series and was quite sad when I finished the last page.  That was until I discovered 50 Shades of Grey.  I’m not going to say anything more, because I have a feeling I’ll be writing a whole separate post about that!! 
 
So there you have it.  Our week in review.  Now onto the weekend…we have some friends [cousins] coming over tonight who we haven’t seen in awhile.  Can’t wait for Lincoln to play with the kids!

    Oh coffee…I have dramatically increased my coffee habit since becoming a SAHM mom! 🙂 I just picked up Hunger game today….and will jot down your other suggested title-thank you! I was having a rough day and also got a card for Mother's Day from my mom…how is it Moms always know??
