This past weekend we packed our bags, and took the 2 1/2 hour drive to my Mom’s house for the weekend. Between all of our hectic schedules, and everyone traveling back and forth to Florida to visit my Dad, we haven’t seen my Mom in about a month. In fact, we hadn’t even had Christmas with her yet!
Lincoln was very excited to see his Grammy…& I was pretty happy to see my Momma!
We celebrated our “Christmas” on Friday night. Lincoln made out quite well, as usual…and we surprised my Mom with a Keurig!
Saturday my Mom and I went wedding dress shopping with my aunt. She just got engaged over the holidays and is planning a wedding in October….SO FUN!! Lincoln is going to be the ring bearer, which makes me beyond excited!! Anyways, we had a girls day while Lincoln spent some time with his Daddy and Uncle.
When we got back to my Mom’s, Jared and I decided to go out just the two of us for a bit…..a date…yay! I honestly cannot recall the last time we’ve gone out without our sweet boy in tow. We had to be back by 8pm though, because we could not miss the Patriots game!!
So, where did we go you ask? Umm. We went to Toys R Us. Nope. I’m not kidding you. We are looking for a play kitchen for Lincoln, so we thought we’d go check them out. We’re still undecided which one to go with, but we’re leaning towards the Step2 brand. If you’d like to recommend your play kitchen, I’d be happy to hear all about it!
After we browsed through the toy store for quite some time, we decided to go grab some dinner. By dinner, I mean ice cream 🙂
We had a great time just the two of us. I wish we could go out more often, but right now we’ll take what we can get and be thankful for that.

We have a Step2 Workshop & our friend's daughter had a play kitchen by then and they are both awesome! If you go with that brand I found it is cheaper to order directly through their website then anywhere else.
