Disclosure: Thank you to Story Land for providing my family complimentary admission to your amusement park. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Our family has been visiting Story Land, located in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, since Lincoln was just 2 years old. In fact, I have been going to Story Land since I was a little girl. It’s so nostalgic to remember visits from my childhood, and now making new memories with my own children.  It is really the best first amusement park for little ones — geared completely for them! Because we have visited so frequently, I’ve gathered a few tips for visiting Story Land for families.

Get the most value for your ticket

I’m going to jump right in and let you in on a little secret. When you purchase (or prepurchase) a ticket, you are welcome to enter the park during the final 3 hours of the day. THEN, you are welcome to visit the park the next day for the ENTIRE day. Let me break it down for you. Let’s say you arrive on Saturday and Story Land closes at 6 PM. You can enter at 3 PM. When you leave, you will receive another ticket which will grant you access for the whole day on Sunday! WOW!! That’s such an incredible savings, and really a great way to take advantage of all the park has to offer!

**TIP** Kids under the age of 3 are FREE!!

Be prepared to get wet!

There are THREE great water rides at Story Land, and if your kids are anything like mine, they’ll want to ride them ALL! I recommend riding Dr. Geyser’s Remarkable Raft Ride as soon as you enter the park. Lines for this attraction can get long (especially on a hot day). My kids were able to ride it TWICE by going on first thing!

Next head to your second water ride of the day…Bamboo Chutes! This is your typical “flume” type of ride. I kid you not though…my kids rode this 3 times in a row! They took advantage of the short wait times in line by making this one of our first stops!

**TIP** Don’t forget to SMILE! There’s a camera waiting to snap your photo when you plunge down the drop! It makes a great memory!!

The third and FAVORITE water ride, is Splash Battle: Pharoah’s Reign. Now I’m going to be honest with you. You WILL get absolutely SOAKED on this ride. Soaked where you’ll be ringing your clothes out when you get off of the ride. BUT, please don’t let this deter you from riding it. It will be your favorite attraction in the park. Your kids will go wild with laughter. YOU will go wild with laughter. It is such an enjoyable ride to have fun, let loose, and be a kid!!

Don’t miss the Loopy Lab

This is a fun interactive space for ALL ages. It’s also a great place to get indoors and out of the sun for a bit! We visited the Loopy Lab two different times during our visit! The kids just really enjoyed it that much!

Take advantage of the photo opps!

Story Land is the home to many of your child’s favorite Nursery Rhyme characters. From Humpty Dumpty, to the Itsy Bitsy Spider, Mother Goose, and so many more, there are several locations meant for snapping memorable photos!

Be a kid with your kids!

Above all, my number one tip for visiting Story Land, is to participate in these fun attractions and moments with your children. These are the moments they will always look back on and remember! So live it up and have FUN!!
