Summer Fun at Quassy Amusement Park

Usually our summers are jam packed with lots of vacations and staycations for our little family. We like to keep busy…and summer is the time to do it! However, this summer has been mostly filled with doctor visits and therapy sessions for me. I still have a long way to go with my recovery since the accident.

As much as we’re trying to make staying home be fun for our boys, I feel bad for Lincoln. He is just so accustomed to being on-the-go and busy. I will say, he has been a trooper, despite being home so much.

A couple of weeks ago, we were able to plan a little day trip at a nearby amusement park, Quassy! As soon as Lincoln found out we had a fun-filled day planned, he was practically bouncing off the walls!! We invited my parents, along with my cousin to join us for a day of play!

If you can’t tell, he was a bit excited when we arrived!

Quassy is located in Middlebury, Connecticut. It boasts 22 rides, brand new Splash Away Bay Water Park, and the Quassy Beach.

I swear Lincoln went down that Giant Slide  at least 10 times that day! He couldn’t get enough!!

He’s not usually a super daredevil, so I was really surprised when he wanted to go on Music Fest with my cousin. He loved it…although he said going backwards was weird. HA!

While we ate tasty burgers at the Quassy Restaurant for lunch, my little Avery bug enjoyed himself a peanut butter sandwich. He thought it was finger lickin’ good!

After lunch it was time for some more rides! Lincoln was thrilled to see the Frog Hopper!

And he was even more excited about the bumper cars! He rocked them!!

Avery is still very limited with what he can ride, but he did enjoy a spin on the carousel.

Lincoln took his big cousin on the Little Dipper. It’s the perfect sized roller coaster for kids!

Who doesn’t love a nice old fashioned train ride? Both of my boys were able to enjoy this one.

And because Lincoln enjoyed the kids Frog Hopper so much, he decided to try Free Fall’N…which was much higher!!

I could seriously hear him screaming from the bench I was sitting at. It was so funny…but he loved it!

Hands down, Lincoln’s favorite ride was the Big Flush Water Coaster.  My lucky boy was even able to ride it twice!

Lincoln thought it was pretty funny to take a picture in the Quassy jail…because his Dad’s a police officer!

What a fun day we had! Lincoln is already talking about visiting next year!! And although Avery was limited with what he could do….I’d say he had fun, as well!!

If you’re looking for a day of family fun, and you’re in the Connecticut area, make sure you check out Quassy. It will be a blast for all!!
