Are you heading to Walt Disney World this summer? If so, you will want to follow these helpful summer 2019 Disney World tips. Summer can be the best time to visit Disney World, but it is not without its challenges. Summer crowds and summer weather are chief among them.

Special Offers

Check the Walt Disney World Website for special offers. If you find any summer 2019 Disney World deals or promotions you can take advantage of them. Even if you have already booked your vacation, you can put a call into customer service and they can help you take advantage of the offer. Summer is usually a time when special offers abound.

Night Life

Summertime is very hot in Florida. But what happens at night is magical. Part of the fun of a summer Disney World vacation is the warm nights. Staying out late is even better than getting out early. The heat comes fast in the day and there is not much you can do in the morning before the parks open. However, in the Summer, you have parks open later at night and of course all of the fun at Disney Springs.

Park Hopper Plus

If you purchase Park Hopper Plus tickets you have the option to park hop to Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. These are very exciting water parks with fun for all ages. It’s not the cheapest option. It’s best to plan ahead of time and purchase a ticket for these parks specifically. However, the Park Hopper Plus option gives you flexibility that might be worth it to you.

Resort Pools

Another way to beat the heat is to use the pool at your resort. You might even use the swimming pool as a deciding factor in where you stay for your summer 2019 Disney World vacation. Take a midday break from the parks to cool off on a hot crowded day.

Summer Crowds

Summer 2019 may not be super crowded, as many people are anticipating the late August open of Star Wars Land. However, the summer break can really bring in the people. The busiest time of day is always mid afternoon. It’s best to plan where you will be at that time, whether it’s resort hopping or having a long lunch in a cool place. Make sure you secure a reservation at a table service restaurant so you aren’t hunting for a table at peak hours.

Weather Forecast

The weather can be stormy in summertime and not just hot. Pack light comfortable clothes, but be prepared for showers as well. Also don’t forget the sunscreen. You do not want to pay for it at the hotel. Pay attention to the weather forecast as your travel dates approach. Download a weather app you can rely on to keep you current on hourly weather changes. This will allow you to plan accordingly on your summer 2019 Disney World vacation.

Really great tips. Looking ahead of time for the weather is key, I live close to Florida and we have similar weather and it’s crazy.

We are passholders so we know how summer can get – in fact – with our passes are blocked out much of summer! We like to go at park open and leave around lunch so we aren’t too hot.
