The original Smurfs debuted in 1981…aka: the year I was born! I literally grew up with the Smurfs, and to see it still entertaining families 40+ years later is pretty wild! In my recent interview with Producer Nele De Wild and voice actor Mark “Lenny” Irons, we discussed the evolution of the Smurfs — did you know that Smurfette is no longer the only female Smurf?!
