Screen Time Rules Printable + Punch Card
The kids are home, and you’re slowly losing your mind. Yes? I’ll admit, I have my good days and bad days during this time. It’s just so “unknown.” You know? I think that’s the hardest part. I absolutely adore spending time with my kids, but any sense of normalcy they had changed literally overnight.
I’d be lying if I told you they haven’t been on screens more than usual.
With that being said, there comes a point where it needs to be limited. I can absolutely tell if my children have been on electronics too long. Whether it be their tablets, video games, whatever. It’s all the same. They get…angry! There really isn’t any other way to explain it. They get obsessive.

What I love most about this printable, is it includes basic things your kids should be doing anyway. It’s really simple, but it teaches them a sense of responsibility. Here are the examples:
- Brush your hair and teeth
- Make your bed
- Get dressed
- Have breakfast
Those are the four basic expectations. Once those are met, encourage them to choose another responsibility to earn a punch on their card!
- Read a book for 30 minutes
- Put away the laundry
- Take out the trash
- Dust the furniture
- Wipe down the counters
Of course these chores could be modified based on the ages of your children. The main idea is that screen time is earned. It is a privilege. They need to work for it!
It also specifies a time duration they’re allowed on electronic devices. This is SUPER important!! I always set a timer for my kids.
How do you manage screen time with your children? Do you use a rewards chart? Do you set guidelines? Let me know!!
