You guys. Lincoln heads back-to-school next week. He’s not just going back-to-school either — he’s going to KINDERGARTEN!!! FULL DAY Kindergarten at that!! Talk about a major life adjustment — for our entire family!!
I’m going to be honest here. I think I’m going to have a much more difficult time with this change than Lincoln.
He has been my little sidekick for the past [almost] 6 years. I love the bond I have with my first born son. He has really grown into such a sweet, kindhearted little boy — and I am just so incredibly proud of him.
The truth is, he’s going to do great in Kindergarten. I know he is. His outgoing and infectious personality is going to shine through. This is only the start of his great adventure, and I just cannot wait to see all he accomplishes in life!
Lately we’ve been in full-on back-to-school shopping mode. He has an entire new wardrobe, school supplies, and his backpack and lunchbox. What else is left??
SNACKS!!! Like I said, Lincoln is going to full-day Kindergarten, which will mean he will be bringing his own lunch and snacks to school!! Of course he could purchase a hot lunch…but, my sweet boy is super duper picky!! And honestly, I’m a little excited about preparing his lunch each morning!!
While shopping at Walmart the other day, I came across some yummy Quaker products in the cereal aisle. I thought these would be great choices to include in Lincoln’s lunchbox!!
I ended up choosing Quaker Life cereal, Quaker Instant Oatmeal (maple brown sugar flavor, mmm!!), and Quaker Chewy Dips Peanut Butter Bars (which by the way are SUPER yum)!
Paired with a sandwich and some fresh fruit, this would be the perfect lunch and snacks for a full day of school!
I love how Quaker is helping make better for you snack choices super simple — and tasty!!
You can check out Quaker on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, for more scrumptious and convenient school snack ideas!
What are your children’s favorite school snacks? Do you incorporate Quaker products in their lunchbox?
