If you’re a fan of the Netflix series, Raising Dion, then you’ve anxiously been awaiting for season 2 ever since that last episode of season one. The season ended with so many cliffhangers!! Aside from the storytelling, part of what makes this such a great series is its phenomenal cast. I was recently invited to participate in the press junket for Raising Dion season 2, and was able to interview Jason Ritter, Alisha Wainwright, and newcomer, Rome Flynn.

Raising Dion Interview with Alisha Wainwright and Rome Flynn
Alisha Wainwright (Nicole Warren) and Rome Flynn (Tevin Wakefield) were paired for our first set of interviews. I loved speaking with the both of them. Alisha’s character is incredibly relatable to me as a mom. She’s the true definition of “mama bear,” always willing to do everything in her power to protect her son.
Rome’s character, Tevin, is new this season, and he honestly blew me away with his performance. Tevin is Dion’s mentor in season 2. He’s this strong character, yet he deals with anxiety. Bringing mental health awareness front and center to a male character is HUGE.

Jason Ritter Interview
I was SUPER excited to interview Jason Ritter. I chatted with him at the Frozen 2 World Premiere two years ago. He was so easy going and genuine to speak with, so it was like catching up with an old friend.
Jason Ritter is back this season as Pat. In season one we learned that Pat was the “Crooked Man,” as he had been taken by the crooked energy. Last time we saw him, Dion defeated the crooked energy, so where does that leave Pat?

It’s definitely a wild ride for Pat this season, and I cannot wait to share more. View my full interview coverage below.

Two years after defeating the Crooked Man (Jason Ritter), Season Two follows Dion as he continues honing his powers with the support of his mom and Tevin (Rome Flynn), his Biona trainer who catches Nicole’s eye. After befriending new student Brayden (Griffin Robert Faulkner) – a fellow powered kid – a series of alarming events unfold, and Dion learns that danger is still looming. Navigating twists, turns, and surprise visitors, Dion and Nicole must prevail again — not just to save themselves, but the entire city of Atlanta.
