As much as I’ve tried to keep my little Avery from growing, he just won’t stop! Can you believe he’ll be FOUR YEARS OLD in November? Because Avery is our last, and my baby, I decided to keep him home with me one more year. He will go to preschool next year, but I needed more one-on-one time with my baby.
Although Avery’s not in preschool yet, we still keep his little brain learning with plenty of educational opportunities. Once per month, we visit our nearby zoo for a 90 minute class. He participates in a group activity, does arts and crafts, and even has an encounter with a zoo animal! So far, we’ve learned about the Komodo Dragon and Flamingos! Next month, we’re learning about camels — It’s so much fun!

Preparing for Preschool with LeapFrog Academy
Avery THRIVES on learning. Seriously, he amazes me each day with his eagerness to learn, and everything he is capable of absorbing. Can you believe he knows ALL of the planets in our solar system? Not only that, but he knows the dwarf planets, as well! He is also a shape master, being able to distinguish unordinary shapes like a trapezoid and parallelogram! LeapFrog Academy is an interactive learning program for 3-6 year olds that they can play anywhere. It’s designed to help kids explore concepts they’ll encounter in Preschool through First Grade.
