FAVORITE OSCAR NOMINATIONS

This is a big year for Walt Disney Studios and Marvel Studios! Black Panther is nominated for BEST PICTURE! It’s going up against a few tough contenders, but I’m hopeful it will pull through. It was such a powerful film…and definitely my favorite Marvel film to date. Black Panther is also nominated for Best Costume Design, Best Original Song, Best Original Score, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, and Best Production Design. This is HUGE, and SO deserving.

One of my favorite family films of the year, Mary Poppins Returns, has her fair share of nominations, too. Best Costume Design, Best Original Song, Best Original Score, and Best Production Design. I’m really hopeful for Best Original Song, “The Place Where Lost Things Go,” and Best Original Score. The music in Mary Poppins Returns was phenomenal!

Both Incredibles 2 and Ralph Breaks the Internet are in the running for Best Animated Feature. I think the visuals were more impressive in Ralph Breaks the Internet, but I really loved the Incredibles 2 story line. We’ll see what happens!

Avengers Infinity War, Christopher Robin, and Solo: A Star Wars Story, are competing for Best Visual Effects. And the popular BAO, is up for Best Animated Short.

Like I said…overall, it’s a big year for Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios! Very exciting for sure! Which films are you rooting for in the 21st Annual Academy Awards? I’m obviously a bit biased towards Disney films, however, there are some other great contenders in the mix!
