I know, I know. I owe you all lots of updates. Like perhaps a birth story of my new baby boy? But today, I’m going to share some photos of my biggest boys FOURTH birthday!
I know. Lincoln is four. How is that even possible?
Lincoln’s birthday was on November 23rd. Just five days after Avery was born. Normally we go all out with a big birthday party. However, I knew that would be a bit difficult this year with not only having a brand new baby…but recovering from a C-section myself. That being said. I still wanted to do something special to celebrate my sweet boys year.
We decided on a small party in the early evening for cake and presents at our house. We invited just a few close family and friends, and ordered Lincoln a special Batman birthday cake. No dinner, no fancy favors. Just really simple.
And honestly? He had so much fun. As much as I enjoy planning his big birthday parties, and putting so much effort into all the tiny details…he really could care less about all of that. He was just happy to have a night where everyone was celebrating him!
He LOVED his Batman cake. He asked for a Batman cake about a month ago, and was just so in awe that he actually had one!
And yes, he’s wearing Batman pajamas. Jared and I got them for him, and he insisted on wearing them! Who were we to say no?!
He was SO excited about everyone singing “Happy Birthday” to him.
And of course there were presents. Lots of presents. He ripped through them so fast, that I don’t even know who some of them are from! Christmas is going to be a blast with him this year!!
And here he is holding his baby brother with his Grammy’s assistance. He was really excited to give him a paci…or as he calls it, a “need one.”
I still cannot believe my sweet boy is four years old. It just does not even seem possible. He amazes me more and more everyday. I am so lucky to be his Mommy.
