A few years ago, we visited LEGOLAND in Florida. Although Lincoln was barely 3 years old, he had a wonderful time. That was just the beginning of his love for LEGO’s. Since that time, he’s developed into what I’d like to call, a “LEGO Maniac.” He loves LEGO’s. I love LEGO’s. I really appreciate that he’s able to be creative and use his imagination, all while playing and having fun!!

A couple of weeks ago, my brother in-law, niece and nephew came to visit us from Tennessee. His kids are 11 and 13, and they have been fans of LEGO’s for a long time. I was thrilled when LEGOLAND Discovery Center, located in Westchester, New York, invited us to play with them for the day!

We decided to not tell the kids exactly where we were going. All they knew was we were going to have a day filled with fun!

Our drive from northwestern Connecticut was just under two hours. When the kids finally figured out where they were going, they couldn’t have been more excited! We all hopped out of the car, and were ready for a full-day of LEGO fun!!

LEGOLAND Discovery Center has so many different attractions. The setup is quite easy to navigate. You easily walk from one room to the next. We started out with the LEGO Factory Tour; where kids are able to press buttons and spin wheels, to keep the LEGO bricks being made.

Next we headed to Kingdom Quest; a laser ride where you can zap trolls and skeletons ready to jump out! Lincoln couldn’t believe there was actually a ride!! He was so incredibly excited!!
I was able to get this fun shot of my brother in-law and niece coming off the ride. I’m not sure who had more fun!!
MINILAND was next. Here the New York skyline comes to life in this spectacular exhibit! Made from nearly 1.5 million LEGO bricks, you will be AMAZED!

Like I said, incredible right?! We spent quite a bit of time in that room. The kids were even impressed!

The next area we visited was a very large open space filled with various hands-on exhibits. Avery had a lot of fun in here!
DUPLO Village was perfect for my 2 1/2 year old. He was seriously in LEGO Heaven! He was really able to let his little imagination run wild; building colorful towers  as high as he could reach!

The LEGO Construction Site is a play space filled with over-sized DUPLO bricks. The bricks were soft, and reminded me of a ball-pit…but it was soft LEGO DUPLO’s instead!
Hands-down, Avery’s very favorite was the slide, located in the LEGO Construction Site. He probably went up and down that slide at least 20 times!
While Avery was going up and down the slide a gazillion times, the bigger kids were having their own fun in the LEGO Fire Academy. This is a bright and colorful jungle gym with many exciting things to explore!
The kids were thrilled when they found out there was another ride! Board a vehicle to find spells and sorcery, as you pedal around on Merlin’s Apprentice Ride.

Lincoln rode with his Uncle Quincy twice! He had so much fun — Uncle Quincy did too šŸ˜‰
The LEGO 4D Cinema was a huge hit — for all of us! Take a break from playing, and sit back and watch as your favorite LEGO characters come to life! Experience wind, rain, lightening, and so much more! The films play continuously throughout the day, and are INCLUDED with your admission!! There are a few different films that rotate throughout the day. We saw “The LEGOĀ® Movieā„¢ 4D A New Adventureā€ and “LEGOĀ® NEXO KNIGHTSā„¢: THE BOOK OF CREATIVITY”- A brand new 4D movie experience, exclusive to LEGOLANDĀ® Discovery Center Westchester! Both shows were so fun!!

The older kids enjoyed a class at the LEGO Master Builder Academy. Here you’ll have your chance to learn new tricks with hands-on tuition, and learn how to create your own incredible models! The kids would have stayed there all day!!
Our final stop was at The LEGOLAND Discovery Center Shop. We spent quite a bit of time in there, letting the kids choose some fun to bring home. Lincoln decided on a Minecraft LEGO set! It’s already built and set-up in his bedroom. He was very happy with his purchase!! What a fun day!!

Special thanks to LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester for providing my family with complimentary admission for a fun day of play! All opinions are my own.
