I was recently invited to attend the virtual press junket for the upcoming preschool series, Do, Re and Mi. In attendance were cast Kristen Bell, Jackie Tohn, and Luke Youngblood. The panel was moderated by Heather Brooker. Being in the same room (zoom room) with such inspiring talent is always such an exhilarating experience. It was a casual conversation and we were able to learn so much about the production and the series itself. I’m thrilled to be able to share it with you!

I think it’s important to mention that Do, Re and Mi was originated pre-pandemic. Now that we are in the midst of a pandemic, and it seems music education is taking drastic cuts in schools, there is a dire need for a music centered show for young children.
However, the truth is, music education has experienced budget cuts since even before the pandemic. The situation we are currently in has obviously made a deeper impact, but the truth is, Do, Re and Mi couldn’t come at a better time. In fact, Kristen Bell and Jackie Tohn, who also serve as Executive Producers of the series, say “this is WHY they made the show.” Bringing music education into homes has always been their primary goal.

It’s a well-known fact that preschoolers reap the development of music education. Music interacts with your brain on so many positive levels. Bottom line, MUSIC HAS POWER!
What makes Do, Re and Mi so unique, is every episode provides a specific musical genre, musical lesson, as well as an emotional lesson. Children will be actively engaged and learning without even realizing it! It’s a major win for kids and parents!
