Our first baby, Oliver, is already 8 years old. We got Oliver right after we got married. I’ve always had a pet, and our little apartment felt empty without a furry friend. 

Oliver was an adorable, feisty little kitten. His personality and cuddles certainly added some fun to our household. 

As Oliver grew older, his personality certainly shined through. We should have known how much fun we were in for with this little guy. To say he was entertaining would be a huge understatement.

He was seriously ALWAYS into something. Whenever we would turn our head around….there would be Oliver — stealing food, carrying his stuffed animals around the house, “helping” with the laundry…you get the idea.

Unfortunately, overtime our little Oliver developed some bad habits. The first being, he likes to eat indigestible items — hair elastics being his favorite.  However, he will also try his hardest to indulge on shoe laces, or any other string like object. Our pricey kitty has had to have two surgeries to remove foreign objects.  The most interesting item found was a USB charger for a phone.  I wish I was making this up, but it seems Oliver really likes to live his 9 lives on the edge!

The second bad habit is that Oliver almost never drinks water. This landed him a weekend vacation at the vets with a pretty bad bladder infection. Because of this, Oliver is on a very strict diet of wet cat food only.
