This November I was invited by Disney Studios to walk the red carpet at the Frozen 2 World Premiere. It was a night I will always remember and hold close to my heart. A few days later, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the global press conference for Frozen 2, along with other media outlets. This was basically a dream come true for me! To be surrounded in a room with the talent of this beautiful film, was such a surreal experience. This is something I’ve worked hard for and dreamed of for a long time. To know my writing earned me a seat in that room surrounded by so many inspirational people, WOW…I don’t even think I could begin to explain how that made me feel.
I was determined to try my best to have the opportunity to ask a question during the Q&A portion of the press conference. What I never imagined was how it would actually play out! At the Frozen 2 Press Junket Josh Gad melted…and I am responsible for that!
My Unexpected Moment with Josh Gad at the Frozen 2 Press Junket
The Frozen 2 press conference was moderated by the lovely Lola Ogunnaike. She opened the day introducing the directors, producer, cast, and composers of the film. After Lola asked a series of questions herself, she opened up the Q&A portion to the media.
I KNEW this was my shot. I HAD to ask a question. Finally I raised my hand, and Lola spotted me. The microphone was brought over, and I tightly grasped my hand around it. Here’s how it went down.
Me: “Good morning! Hi, Josh. I have to say, Olaf is a scene stealer. It was the very first thing I tweeted out after the premiere. He has the best lines, and my kids are going to love him even more than they already do.”
Josh Gad: “Well, that’s an excellent question…”

The audience starts laughing (of course). I even chuckled a bit myself, as this wasn’t how I intended for this to play out.
Me: “Actually, my question is for Kristen Bell.”
You guys, the audience ROARED with laughter!
Josh Gad stood up and practically walked off the stage. And Lola said, “annnnd Olaf melted.”
Cue MORE hysterical laughing!
