Happy Friday!! What a busy week. Jared’s been in school for work all week long, and the hours have been crazy. By the time he gets home, it’s a late dinner and then time for the kids to go to bed! I’m so glad this is the last day for this schedule. But with that said, it’s Friday!! So let’s do a “Five on Friday!!”

Tomorrow, May 20th, Jared and I will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary! How in the heck is that even possible?! A whole decade. Wow. What a milestone! These past ten years sure have been a wild ride — but there’s no one else I’d rather go through life with!

We’re actually going to a Gala tomorrow night. It’s a fundraiser for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation. I’ve never been to any sort of event for them before, so I’m pretty excited! We’re going with 8 other family members so it should be a good time!

So let’s talk Blog Conferences for a minute. I absolutely LOVE them. I’m going to Blogger Bash in NYC in July and really looking forward to it. I went back in 2014 but haven’t had the opportunity to go back since our car accident. Last week I was living vicariously through all the Mom 2.0 attendees. That looked like a fab time! The 2017 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was beyond incredible. Annnd last week I received more “Pixie Dust” in my inbox! I’m going to the Disney Social Media Moms On-The-Road Event in Boston! Cannot wait!!

The ticks this year are beyond ridiculous. It’s to the point where I actually find them alive, walking around inside my house! I’m done with the tick invasion! The other day I broke out the essential oils and whipped up a concoction. Look for it next week!

A few weekends ago, we were trying to think of something to do with the boys. It was rainy and our options were limited. Jared suggested driving to Foxwoods for the day. We piled into the suburban and headed on our way!
We met up with my parents and made a day of it. Jared and my dad took the boys to the arcade, while my mom and I hit up the outlets. We met up for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, and then did some more shopping.
Before we left, we made sure to stop by Ben & Jerry’s for some ice cream. The Cookie Cookie Sundae was soooo yummy!! I shared one with Lincoln and Jared shared with Avery.
It was a perfect day! Some people may think we were crazy to bring our kids to a casino, but there’s really so much more to do there! We were plenty busy doing family-friendly activities — and, it was something new for the boys! In fact, Lincoln’s already asking when we can go back!
Cheers to the weekend!! XOXO
Congratulations on your anniversary. I love the picture of you two in the carriage.
If your family enjoys the activities who care where it is. I know you have good instincts and if it’s a fun family outing to you, then go for it.
I enjoy these posts a lot.
Congratulations on the 10th Anniversary. On a side note, it is so heart warming to read a family oriented blog. Love your blog. Will be following closely. ๐
Holy moly! That cookie sundae looks beyond delicious! Also, a huge congratulations to you both on your 10 years.. how sweet! It’s amazing how fast time seriously flies.. the older I get the more I realize those little things my Nana told me growing up are so true! xo
