The only rides we went on at Epcot were Nemo and Friends, and Journey into Imagination. Epcot does offer a few other attractions for children, but Lincoln seems to have a hard time going from the bright outside, into a dark area. We will attempt to walk into a building, and he just freaks out. And that’s no fun for anyone. The last thing I want to do is frighten him, so we missed out on a bit. But, that’s okay.
Epcot is probably the best place to meet characters. And Lincoln is really into this now, so we picked up a brochure telling us where the characters would be for the day, and went out on a mission! Lincoln seemed to like this idea.
First stop was no one other than Mickey Mouse! Lincoln was thrilled.
Next up was Mickey’s best pal, Pluto! Pluto is a bit intimidating looking, because he’s so huge. However, he was great with Lincoln and got down to his level. We actually were able to get a few cute family shots with Pluto ๐
Oh Minnie. How my boy adores Minnie Mouse. In fact. When she asked him to kiss her nose, he actually went INSIDE her mouth to kiss her! Ohhh Lincoln. You are your fathers son!
We also met Donald…
And Goofy. Like Pluto, Goofy was also pretty huge. Lincoln was a bit unsure of him, and Goofy unfortunately didn’t get down to his level, so he stuck close to his Momma.
Chip & Dale were happy to meet us. They were hilarious, and Lincoln loved playing with them for a bit.
And then? Lincoln fell in love. He met Belle from Beauty and the Beast. He loved her so much, that after she asked him for a hug, he planted a great big kiss on her cheek! The photo below was taken right after Lincoln kissed her. I think Belle was quite surprised!
When it came time to meet Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Lincoln was a bit of a wild man, and getting a picture was quite hard! We did manage a quick shot, though!
And finally, Lincoln met Duffy Bear. Duffy is Mickey’s teddy bear. You can tell Lincoln looks a bit tired and done in these pictures. We were on our way out of the park when we spotted Duffy.
We had a great visit to Epcot. If you want to meet a lot of characters, this is the place to be. Tomorrow I will recap on the last park we visited during our stay, Lincoln’s favorite, Hollywood Studios!!
