This post is brought to you by DiaResQ® and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.
If you were to take a survey and ask moms what the hardest thing about parenting is, I’m willing to bet, “when their kids are sick,” would be a top answer. It’s true. As moms, it hurts our hearts when our littles are sick. We would move mountains to make them feel better. As a mom of two little boys, I’ve learned it’s always best to be prepared for those sickies. Here are some easy ways to protect your child’s immune system.
EASY WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR CHILD’S IMMUNE SYSTEM

Healthy Diet
We all know it’s important to eat healthy. Fresh fruit and veggies are packed with nutrients to boost your immune system! Sometimes it’s hard to get my kids to get their daily recommended servings in. If you have a picky eater on your hands, try making smoothies. Even better, have your kids help you make a smoothie! I always find my children will be more excited to drink it if they make it themselves!
Mom Tip: Add some spinach, and your kids won’t be able to taste it…the fruit magically hides the veggie taste!
Of course it’s always best to avoid sugary snacks and drinks as often as possible, eat protein rich foods, and drink plenty of water.

Get Enough Sleep
Children need more sleep than adults. It’s a FACT! Are your kids getting the recommended sleep per night based on their age? I am pretty consistent with my boys going to bed at 7:30 PM on school nights. After reading a book, this usually means they’re sleeping (hopefully) by 8:00 PM. I know they need a good nights rest to succeed in school…and not be a cranky bear!
Daily Exercise
Yes! Kids need exercise too! Have your child choose their favorite active activity, and get to it! Any form of exercise is good for your immune system. Try to limit screen time and get your kiddos outside! Sunshine is good for your soul. Soak up that immune boosting Vitamin D! We’ve been making it a nightly ritual to go outside after dinnertime. My kids run around and play with our dogs. It’s great, and healthy, for everyone!

Be Prepared
As much as I try to do everything in my power to keep my children healthy, sometimes it’s just not enough. While I don’t like it when my kids are sick, I am always prepared for whatever sickness might come our way.

My kids never like when they have tummy troubles. It really upsets them, and of course upsets me. However, when dealing with children’s diarrhea, there are natural ways to relieve it quickly.
What is DiaResQ®
Diarrhea is the body’s natural immune response to try and remove an invading microorganism, and some products work by slowing that response (and trapping that organism in your body). DiaResQ is different — it works with your body to address the underlying issue fast. Rest assured Moms, DiaResQ is a food made from safe, naturally-derived ingredients. DiaResQ has been clinically demonstrated to resolve most cases of diarrhea on day 1 of use. It offers a better way to deal with diarrhea that won’t interfere with your child’s gut health.

DiaResQ is Kid-Friendly
Do you have to fight with your kids to take yucky pills? DiaResQ is a vanilla flavored powder that easily mixes with water. Easy peasy!! DiaResQ is safe for adults and children as young as one year of age — a diarrhea product for the whole family!
DiaResQ is not intended for the relief of chronic diarrhea, nor for infants (children aged 12 months or less).

These are great tips! I make sure my kids get enough Vitamin C, especially since my daughter is in school now!
CHILD’S IMMUNE SYSTEM is very important for children’s health. I think parents are aware to take care their children. Great article.
I think another great tip is to be aware of when something is going around and try to encourage your kids to wash their hands more, and not share food, etc. It might completely prevent them from getting sick, but it might help a little bit more.
