I was recently invited to participate in a virtual press day for the upcoming DreamWorks series, Dragons: The Nine Realms. I was able to interview Marcus Scribner (“Black-ish,” “The Good Dinosaur”), who voices D’Angelo, as well as Executive Producer, John Telegan.
DRAGONS: THE NINE REALMS Interview
Dragons: The Nine Realms takes place 1,300 years after How To Train Your Dragon. Our family absolutely LOVED those movies from the very beginning. I mean, how can you not love Toothless and Light Fury?! With Dragons taking place in the modern world, this puts an entirely new twist on the franchise and I think it’s going to be a huge hit!
In my interview with John and Marcus, we chatted all things Dragons! You’ll learn their favorite dragon from the series, how Marcus relates to his character, D’Angelo, and the challenges they were faced working during the pandemic. We also discuss the importance of the mother/son relationship in the series. You can watch the entire interview below.

DRAGONS: THE NINE REALMS Synopsis
Set 1,300 years after the events of How To Train Your Dragon, dragons are now just a legend to the modern world. When a geological anomaly opens up an immense, miles-deep fissure in the Earth’s surface, scientists from all over the world gather at a new research facility to study the mysterious phenomenon. Soon a group of misfit kids, brought to the site by their parents, uncover the truth about dragons and where they’ve been hiding — a secret they must keep to themselves to protect what they’ve discovered.
