I LOVE that Disney is remaking so many of their classic movies into live-action films. The live-action Beauty and The Beast, is one of my favorite movies of all time. With that being said, I need to be honest. When I first heard Disney was making a live action Dumbo, I wasn’t entirely sold. HOW could Disney make a classic animated movie about ANIMALS, come to life? Well, silly me, because if ANYONE could do it, we all know it’s Disney. I just viewed the teaser trailer for Dumbo, and I really am left speechless. Disney never disappoints.

Live Action DUMBO Synopsis:

From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure DUMBO expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.

With that stellar cast and plot, I am anxiously awaiting the release of Dumbo in 2019!

Disney live action Dumbo

While I have always loved the classic original Dumbo, I really didn’t appreciate it fully until I became a mother. I remember watching it with Lincoln when he was a toddler. When the timeless song, Baby Mine came on, my eyes filled up! There are certain things you just don’t understand until you experience parenthood.
