It’s no secret we’re a Disney-loving family! Whenever we have the opportunity to share our #DisneySide, we jump at it! Our family was recently selected to host a Disney #NowMoreThanEver Preschool Playdate Party — sounds fun, right?! It just so happens my favorite little preschooler is heading off to Kindergarten in the fall. Can you even believe it?!
I was super excited that our surprise party theme chosen was Disney Junior’s The Lion Guard! This couldn’t have been more perfect, especially since we just saw Disney’s live-action The Lion King in theaters!
My kids LOVE animals so this was really the perfect choice for our family!
Disney Playdate Party #NowMoreThanEver
I decided to keep our party relatively simple. Let’s face it…it doesn’t take much to make little kids happy! We invited some of the kids cousins, and all had a fun-filled night.
Party Supplies:
We were provide with the essentials to have our party. Tablecloth, napkins, cups, plates, decorations, character masks, party games, and the kids favorite, a pinata!
Party Food
We all know food is an essential for any party! Again, we kept it relatively simple, because I don’t know about your kids, but mine never tend to eat too much at parties. They’re too busy playing! I made a family favorite, my Grandpa’s homemade baked mac & cheese, chicken wings, and salad.
While the food sure was yummy, the favorite is always the dessert! Our guests LOVED our Popcorn Cake from Popped Passion.
What is a Popcorn Cake?
Freshly popped popcorn that slices like a cake with the yummy sensation of an ooey gooey marshmallow treat! Each cake is customized with your favorite candy, nuts, or dried fruit. It’s completed with sprinkles and your choice of milk chocolate, white chocolate, or peanut butter drizzle. Our popcorn cake featured a Hidden Mickey on top! Super clever!!
Fun and Games
Our kids enjoyed the “Pin the Badge on Kion” party game. They were all so cute trying to help each other out while blindfolded! Their laughter really spoke for how much fun they were having.
We saved the biggest excitement for last. THE PINATA! If there’s one thing that is true, it’s that kids LOVE pinatas! We filled ours up with some candy favorites, and then let them have at it. My favorite thing about this particular pinata is it’s a pull-string…super easy for little ones, and no hitting required! Check out this video to see!

My little one, Eliana, also LOVES The Lion Guard! This looks like such a fun party, and I loved watching the video of the kids beating up the piñata! We also recently watched The Lion King, and it was wonderful! The Lion King has been one of my favorite movies for a long time.
