Can you believe Valentine’s Day is right around the corner? It’s time to decide on the perfect gift for your loved ones. Who’s had their taxes done already? ::raises hand:: How about a great way to cash in on that tax return? My father in-law is one of those people who refuses to keep up with technology. He would never buy a cell phone for himself, because he just doesn’t feel having one is all that necessary. However, his family disagrees. He’s 67 years old, and not getting any younger. He lives on a property with over 30 acres. He goes off and walks this property daily. This land is not cleared. It’s woods, ponds, hills, ditches, etc. I think you get the point. What if something were to happen to him when he goes off on these little adventures?
My husband and I decided it was time to do something about this.
Enter Walmart Family Mobile. Walmart offers the cheapest wireless plan, with all the added perks like unlimited talk, text, and data. I’m talking REALLY cheap…$39.88 per month! Yes. I’m serious. They also have a huge selection of smart phones that are all under $100! That is practically unheard of today!!
We decided to purchase my father in-law the Evolve smart phone, which retails for $79.88. One of the things that immediately caught my eye, was this phone has a 5MP camera…not too shabby at all!
When we got home, I was very eager to set it up. It was incredibly easy to do so. It seriously took me less than 5 minutes. I was able to get him a new phone number (because he doesn’t currently have a cell phone). However if he did, I could have easily transferred the existing number to the new phone.
Of course my little helper Lincoln was very excited to help me test it out!
The phone itself is very sleek and stylish….and super easy to use, which is a huge plus for my technology fearing father in-law!
We’re very happy that he now has a phone on him incase of an emergency…or if we just need to reach him when he’s not home! We want him to be able to enjoy many, many more moments like this with his grandsons.
