Happy Fall, Y’all! Living in Rhode Island, the Fall is definitely one of my favorite seasons. The weather is just about perfect, the leaves changing is beautiful, and I also love pumpkin and apple EVERYTHING! Bring on the cozy hoodies, hot fancy coffee drinks, and apple cider! I love the fall festivals, visiting a local pumpkin patch, and hitting up the apple orchard. Speaking of the apple orchard…I love to discover new tasty recipes to try out with the abundance of apples we pick! This Caramel Apple Cheesecake Dip is the perfect dessert to serve at your next Fall gathering!
CARAMEL APPLE CHEESECAKE DIP
Making this scrumptious Caramel Apple Cheesecake is super easy. I’m warning you though…it’s soooo addictive and tasty!! You might want to hide it from your kids!
- 20 soft caramels
- 8 oz block of cream cheese, softened
- 21 oz can of apple pie filling
- 1 tablespoon of milk
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 2 cups of whipped topping
Unwrap caramels and microwave in a microwave safe bowl for 30-50 seconds, until melted. (CAREFUL – very hot!)
Pour melted caramels that have cooled for about 30 seconds into whipped cream cheese and whip blend until mixed together.
Add apple pie filling and cinnamon and whip on high for about 20 seconds.
***Since the apples are soft, they should break down into smaller chunks. You can help this along by using butter knife/hard spatula to scrape down the sides and drag it through the apples to make smaller pieces.
Add whipped topping and mix on low until combined.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Caramel Apple Cheesecake Dip Topping Ideas:
Whipped topping, nuts, apple chunks, a dash of cinnamon, a drizzle of caramel (not the melted caramel, as it will harden).
Serve along with graham crackers, cookies or fruit. Personally, the graham crackers are my favorite!
