Oh my Avery bug. How are you already 7 months old? I apologize for this being two weeks late, but we have just been so incredibly busy! You have done so much these past 7 months. Life in our family is always an adventure…just the way we like it!
So, what have you been up to this month?
Well. You are an eating machine! There really isn’t anything you don’t like…except for my homemade purees. So we’re pretty much skipping out on the whole puree thing. I will mix them into your oatmeal for breakfast, but for the most part, you want the real stuff! I was really nervous about the whole idea of baby led weaning, but you’re making it too easy! There really isn’t anything you don’t like.
Some foods you have tried are: avocado, banana, sweet potatoes, squash, green beans, carrots, apples, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, peaches, pears, pancakes, oatmeal with fruit, and cheerios. I also give you plain organic whole milk yogurt and mix a fruit puree into it….you really gobble that up fast!
I think this month we will be trying some shredded chicken. I’m sure you will do great.
I’m not exactly sure how much you weigh right now. We don’t go back to the pediatrician until you are 9 months old. I’m guessing you’re somewhere around 20+ pounds though, based on your 6 month appointment. You are wearing mostly 12 month clothes now, and size 4 diapers. I actually had to buy you some 12 month footed pajamas. Lincoln was always a sweat bucket during the summertime, and especially at night. He slept in short jammies. You however, are the complete opposite and like to be a bit more cozy.
You are sleeping better this month. You usually still wake anywhere between 3-4am for a quick bottle, but then you’re right back to sleep. You usually wake like clockwork at 6:30am.
I still cannot get over how incredibly sweet you are. You are just so happy. Everyone adores you.
You started blowing raspberries with your mouth, and think it’s just about the greatest thing ever. You also like to eat your feet…silly boy!
You’re a little chatterbox, saying “mamama” and “dadada” pretty consistently. I’m not sure if there’s any connection with the words yet, but they’re definitely there.
I really think those beautiful blue eyes are here to stay! They are so gorgeous!!
We had our 7 month photo shoot. We got lots of great shots.
And a few of my favorite photos from this past month…
