Florida Recap [Disney World]

While we primarily went to Florida to visit my Dad, we figured since the three of us were all there, to take advantage of the opportunity and visit a few of the Disney parks. It just so happens that the person who’s staying with my Dad right now was in the military, so we were able to score ourselves some super sweet discounted tickets!
We were actually able to visit all four of the parks, thanks to the park hopper tickets.  We visited Animal Kingdom first.  I haven’t been there since I was 17, so that was :::cough::: 13 years ago :::cough:::
There were a lot of shows, which I thought Lincoln really would have loved, but it was a bit too much for him.  The Lion King show, while great, was too loud and “in your face” for a 2 year old…or at least for my 2 year old.  And, unfortunately, because this was the first show we saw, it ruined all the other shows for him.  There was this super cute Finding Nemo show, but he closed his eyes the entire time ๐Ÿ™
He did manage to have a little bit of fun at least.  His absolute favorite was the train ride, but it was far too short for his liking.  He also liked walking around looking at the animals, particularly the fishies.

We visited Hollywood Studios the last time were were there, and Lincoln loved it so much, that we decided to go back again with Daddy ๐Ÿ™‚

Lincoln loved it just as much the second time.  In fact, I would say this is hands down, his favorite park.  We saw the Disney Junior show again, which he was just completely awe struck.  He enjoyed the Backlot Tour on the “choo choo.” And, he met his first character…Mike, from Monsters Inc.  Normally Lincoln backs away from the characters, but I think because Mike was a bit smaller, he was okay with him.  In fact, when he went to meet him with his Grammy, he tried to pull his hat off…

We also spent a day at Downtown Disney.  I have always loved this place.  I remember being SO excited to go there when I was a kid. Lincoln enjoyed it there, as well.  He modeled a few Mickey Ears for us ๐Ÿ™‚

And he rode the choo choo with Daddy.  Besides the monorail, this would have been his favorite ride. And no, I’m not joking about the monorail.

Here are my boys waving to me ๐Ÿ™‚

We had a fun time.  It was nice being with Jared and Lincoln, doing new things.  Lincoln took a few good naps while we were in Florida.  I couldn’t believe my little no napper napped so well!

I adore that picture.  He looks like a little baby.  I’m not sure when our next trip to visit my Dad will be.  But I do know that we’re planning on meeting Jared’s brother who lives in Tennessee, and his two kids there in July.  He wants to do Disney with us, and more than likely Sea World…and my 8 year old nephew has a request in for Lego Land ๐Ÿ™‚  I cannot wait!!!
