Another fantastic weekend to mark off in the books!! Although Jared had to work overnight, we still were able to make the most of it and have some great family time!!

We took Lincoln to see his second movie in the theater. His first time was with my mom and me in Florida, to see Beauty and the Beast. This time Jared and I took him to see Brave! What a great movie it was! I was a little nervous, because I heard there were some scary parts, but I just talked Lincoln through them and tried to make it fun. He was absolutely fine!

Like most kids, Lincoln is always trying to get my iPhone. I really do limit his time with it. In fact, he hardly ever gets it. I did discover a new app the other day that I wanted to tell you all about. It’s called “Monkey Preschool Lunchbox.” It does cost $0.99, but it is so worth it! It is pretty educational, and he really enjoys it! He mostly gets my phone in the car if I don’t want him to fall asleep ๐Ÿ™‚

Does your dog love peanut butter?? One of Evy’s favorite treats is when I stuff one of her Kong toys with peanut butter, and then put it in the freezer. The other day after I stuffed one to put away, I finished up the rest of the peanut butter jar. I gave her the practically empty jar, and it kept her busy for quite some time!! If you do this though, make sure you can keep an eye on your dog. When she couldn’t reach anymore peanut butter, she started to chew at the plastic and I had to take it away.

Don’t you love how kids fall asleep sometime? Lincoln reminds me of a froggy in this picture ๐Ÿ™‚

We were able to go to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants for dinner.  We have been going there since Lincoln was a wee babe in my belly!  They have amazing chips & salsa, and Jared and I usually split their chicken fajitas because they’re so huge!!  Our little Lincoln got himself a cheese quesadilla.

He was very happy to be out with his Daddy & Momma!  He even had a little photoshoot with Daddy…which of course you know I took full advantage of his willingness!!

After our dinner, we decided to order our favorite dessert there….an ice cream chimichanga!!! This thing is soooo incredibly yummy….and I think Lincoln approved ๐Ÿ™‚

Sunday we spent a relaxing day at home.  Lincoln insisted I check my morning email and have my coffee at his little table with him.  He even cleared me a spot, which was the cutest thing ever.  We then ate breakfast together at this itty bitty table.

Today we’re off to the amusement park we went to a couple of weeks ago.  I hope he enjoys himself as much as he did the last time we were there!
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend ๐Ÿ™‚

xoxo

Lincoln & I had a super fun weekend at my Mom’s in Rhode Island, while Jared played some hockey in New Jersey.  I don’t know if I ever mentioned it before, but my husband plays professional inline hockey.  He’s actually quite good.  I use the term “professional” loosely, though.  He doesn’t get paid for it, so it’s not as glamorous as it sounds!
It was a beautiful weekend, which meant for lots of time spent outside!  Lincoln played with his empty water table at his Grammy’s house.  I just adore his hair.  People tell me, “oh it’s time for a haircut,” but I just think he looks so stinkin’ cute!

My mom spoils Lincoln to pieces.  She bought him this little climber/slide last summer.  Lincoln loves it, even if he is already the length of the slide!

On Sunday we headed over to my aunts house for the day.  She has three daughters, and Lincoln just LOVES his big cousins!  And, I think the feeling’s mutual…

Lincoln also picked a flower for his Momma….and then my heart burst into a thousand pieces. This is the best flower I’ve ever received ๐Ÿ™‚

Jared came back Sunday night to pick us up, and we headed back home.  He had a very successful weekend playing hockey, winning 3 out of 4 games…and scoring 3 goals.  He’s on defensive, so he basically kicked some butt!

A fun weekend all around!!

Oh, hello everyone!!  What a fantastic, yet crazy busy fun weekend we had!  Jared had hockey games all weekend in Rhode Island, which worked out for me!  Lincoln and I got to spend some time with my Mom and brother.  We arrived late Friday afternoon.
Saturday was soooo fun.  I went to have my tarot cards read with my mom, aunts, and cousin.  It was a complete girls morning/afternoon, and such a good time.  Our first appointment was at 10am, and we ended up being 30 minutes late.  Awesome.  Somehow, we went to the wrong house.  Luckily they didn’t answer their door because they probably would have thought they were being invaded, seeing as there were 6 of us, armed with our coffees!!
While I was a bit disappointed with my reading, it was still fun.  It’s not like I had high expectations or anything, I just felt that the reader was asking ME way too many questions.  She was grasping at straws as far as I was concerned.  BUT, on the flip side, one of my aunts did have a pretty ridiculously freaky accurate reading, so who knows!
After our readings, we hit up some yummy lunch.  I had a burger that was just delish.  Sometimes, there really is nothing like a fabulous, juicy burger!  Mmmmmm!!!  Yeah.  I could never be a vegetarian!
Our sweet pup, Evy always comes with us when we go to my Mom’s.  Look how tiny she looks next to my dog, Lacey.  She’s a shepherd/akita mix, and she’s just beautiful!
We just got home a little while ago, and I’m quite exhausted.  Between the 2 1/2 hour drive back home, and daylight savings time, I’m ready to call it a night!  HOWEVER, my little night owl is still bouncing off the walls…
He’s lucky he’s so cute ๐Ÿ™‚
Hope everyone had a fun-filled family weekend!  Oh, and have you seen the forecast for this week?!?!  I’m not sure how it’s going to be where you are, but we’re talking mid 60’s here!!!  Outside, here we come!!!

It was a busy, fun-filled weekend in our household! Lincoln and I planned a last minute trip to go visit my Dad in Florida this Wednesday, so I’m trying to get all our Christmas decorating and wrapping done before we leave.  I feel like I have SO much to do beforehand.  We’re only going for four days, but when we come back my brother in law, niece, and nephew from Tennessee are flying in just a couple days later!  My Christmas cards still have not arrived in the mail.  If they don’t hurry up, I might end up having to address them all while I’m in Florida! Not to mention if they don’t arrive at all before I leave.  Then they won’t go out until NEXT Tuesday’s mail at the earliest.  Ugh.
Anyways, we did some decorating this weekend.  I almost forgot how cute Lincoln’s stocking is.  We ordered it from Pottery Barn Kids last year.  We don’t have a fireplace, but we have this little “mantle” looking thing on our entertainment stand.  Jared thought the stockings would look cute hung from there, and I’d have to agree!

I need to find a cute stocking for our Evy pup.  Right now our cat Oliver has two!   Speaking of Evy, her and Lincoln have been playing so nicely lately.  I really think they are going to be best buds.  I just love how protective she is of him already.  He’s her boy.

Sunday Jared had to work, so Lincoln and I had a pajama day.  I wrapped presents and sipped on pumpkin spice coffee while he played with his new Little People airplane and spaceship.

Of course we also watched some football.  GOOOO PATS!!!

And Lincoln took a little nap on the couch ๐Ÿ™‚

We had a great weekend.  Stayed in the house.  But got a lot accomplished, and soaked in some family time.
Now, I need to pack for our little 4 day vacation to see my Dad!

With all the craziness that has been happening in my life lately, it was nice to have a fun weekend.  Jared & I had a wedding to go to on Saturday.  Lincoln spent the day with one of my good friends and had a blast ๐Ÿ™‚
It was great to get dressed up and go out on the town with my handsome hubby.  The ceremony was so beautiful. The bride [Jared’s cousin] looked amazing…the groom cried while he was reading his very sentimental vows. I think everyone in the church turned into a big ol’ pile of mush!
There was a 3 hour gap between the ceremony & reception, so about 15 of us went to a nearby Mexican restaurant to grab some food.  We figured we wouldn’t be eating for a few hours at the wedding anyways.
The reception was at a CASTLE….obviously, it was amazing, to say the least.  My favorite part of the evening was the photo booth!  I wish they had these when Jared & I got married…so fun!!
We got back home around 11:30pm, and of course my little night owl was still awake!  He was SO excited to see Daddy & Momma walk through the door.  He screamed, “Yayyyyy!” & jumped into my arms giving me a hug that lasted at least 10 minutes ๐Ÿ™‚
We spent Sunday at Jared’s cousins house so he could get his car fixed.  While we were at the wedding, Jared’s headlights blew out, which led to us having to drive home with his high beams on!!!  Lincoln had a blast playing with his cousins.
A great weekend, indeed.  It was just what I needed.

Yes, before you remind me that today is Thursday, I know. I am just a little bit late with my “Weekend Recap” post. Oh well, life gets busy sometimes, what can I say!

We did have a VERY fun filled weekend. Although Jared had to work on Saturday, he was off Sunday & Monday. We took full advantage of this, and had some much needed family time.

On Sunday we had a few errands to run, but we ended our day with taking Lincoln to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner! He was just there a week ago in Orlando, but not with his Daddy. Lincoln really likes it there, with the exception of the thunderstorm every 30 minutes. Here he is with his Daddy, while we were waiting for our yummy food.

Monday we headed out to a local fair nearby. I know it’s not *technically* fall yet, but I love all the fairs that come with fall! A lot of them are no different from the next, but it just reminds me of my childhood…& who can pass up yummy fair food?! Lincoln was all about the corn dog…

& with the exception of letting his Daddy have a few bites…he literally devoured the ENTIRE corn dog!!!

As much as he enjoyed his fair food, there was also a dog agility presentation going on. He LOVED that! He was pointing at all the dogs saying “puppy.” And, each time when the dogs finished running the course he clapped, threw his hands up in the air, and celebrated ๐Ÿ™‚

We had a wonderful holiday weekend, & I think Lincoln would agree ๐Ÿ™‚

My parents spent the weekend with us…well, more like with Lincoln and myself. Jared worked double shifts both days. They haven’t been here since February. With my Dad’s current state of health, he hasn’t been able to make the 2 1/2 hour drive, so normally we’ll just go visit them. He really wanted to come and visit us, at our house before he goes to Florida for a few months, so him and my Mom decided to come this past weekend.

They arrived on Friday, late afternoon, and stayed until Sunday late morning. Friday we just relaxed and visited.

Lincoln is SO sweet with my Dad. He completely understands that my Dad cannot do a lot with him right now. He can’t even sit on the floor to play with him, because he’s too weak. Lincoln will just randomly give my Dad a hug while he’s in the middle of playing. I’m amazed at how intuitive he is.

Saturday morning we hit up a local flea market. My Dad LOVES things like this. Anything like garage sales, flea markets, auctions, etc….that’s his thing! We were there for around 2 hours. When we came back to our house, he was wiped out. He took a 2 hour nap with Lincoln….which I’m sure he loved, immensely.

Unfortunately, the walking for 2 hours really tired my Dad out for the rest of their time here. Honestly, he’ll probably be pretty wiped out for a few days. That’s the whole sucky part of his condition.

Sunday morning I made them blueberry pancakes, before they left. They were scrumptious!

As much as I’ll miss my Dad while he’s in Florida, it’s something he has to do. His quality of life is so poor right now. He’s only 56 years old, and honestly looks SO much older. He NEEDS this transplant. I want Lincoln to know my Dad. I want him to be able to share many more memories like this…

and this…..

and especially this…

We had a great weekend together. I think they’re planning on making the trip here again, on Father’s Day weekend, which would be wonderful. Right now we’re just trying to spend as much time as possible with my Dad, before he temporarily moves to Florida. Then we will try to visit as much as we can. We’re really not sure how long he’ll be there for, it really depends on how quickly he gets the transplant.

I’ll keep you all posted on his prognosis, and everything that goes along with it. We had a great weekend together, and right now, that’s really all I can ask for. I hope your weekend was fabulous!

We had a relatively low-key weekend, which was nice because our weekends have been crazy since Jared started the Academy. Saturday Lincoln woke up and enjoyed his morning bottle snuggling on the couch with his Daddy ๐Ÿ™‚

We had a lot of errands to run…one of those errands included stopping at Target to pick up the necessary items to make Lincoln a ball pit!!! Our original plan was to try to buy a pool on clearance for the “pit,” but I think we were a little too late because there were no pools left ๐Ÿ™ However, we decided to try putting the balls in his pack n play.
300 balls later, and one little Lincoln plopped inside….
He didn’t know what to think at first. He kept picking up two balls, studying them, placing them down and picking up two new ones. He did this for awhile…
Soon enough he dove right in, literally!! I think it’s pretty safe to say that the ball pit was a success!

I really don’t know who was more excited about it…Lincoln, or Jared and myself!
Sunday we just spend the day around the house doing what we do best…PLAY!!!

my silly boy… ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

After all that playing, Daddy and Lincoln crashed! Mommy grabbed the camera ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you all had a great weekend!

We had an awesome weekend….and I have decided that the weekend’s go by WAY too fast ๐Ÿ™

Since Jared is away at the Police Academy all week, our weekends are really just the three of us. Because our time is limited, we want to soak up as much family time as we can….and Lincoln needs to spend some quality time with his Daddy!

Saturday morning we headed out first thing to the uniform store about an hour away. Jared needed to get a few things. Honestly, the trip was going great until we got off the highway. There was a race going on in the middle of downtown Danbury and literally every road we needed to take to get to the store was shut down. We were in the worst traffic ever for an hour. Lincoln was a trooper for the whole thing, but we were getting quite aggravated!

Once we finally were able to get to the uniform store, we thought we’d grab some lunch. I plugged in the GPS and saw there was a Maggy McFly’s nearby…awesome….we headed there. Unfortunately, it looks like Maggy McFly’s closed down in the location our GPS sent us. It was nowhere to be found, however it did say, “arriving at your destination, on left.” No Lola [our GPS name] there was no Maggy McFly’s there, just a Walgreens ๐Ÿ™

Jared thought there was a mall nearby, so we were hoping Lola wouldn’t let us down again when we located the mall. Lucky for us, the mall was still standing ๐Ÿ˜‰

We ate at Pizzeria Uno, and then shopped around a bit. I was psyched because there was a Janie & Jack. I love Gymboree, and Janie & Jack is like an upscale version of it. And upscale it was indeed. Let’s just say I didn’t buy anything there…$30 for a pair of knit pants was a bit too much.

We did have a blast though. Before we left, Jared thought it would be fun for Lincoln to have his first carousel ride…

He was all about the straps! Waving to his Momma ๐Ÿ™‚

His “pony tattoo” from the ride

Lincoln & Daddy after the ride

Waving to Mommy again ๐Ÿ™‚

After all that excitement, he crashed…

I don’t think he knew what to think about the carousel…he was VERY serious for the ride. When we got home, he happily read one of his favorite books…

Sunday we ran a few quick errands in the morning, bought Lincoln a new toy, and then headed home for the remainder of the day. Here’s little Lincoln playing with his new toy…a drum!

We had a great fun-filled weekend…but they go by entirely too quickly. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!!

Yet another crazy, busy, fun-filled weekend!

We planned to head on over to my parents house on Friday night to spend the weekend with them. The night before we left, Lincoln must have been super anxious, because here he is at 9pm, happily playing away…

We arrived at my parents around 6pm. Lincoln was thrilled to see his Grammy, Grandpa, & Uncle Kyle. Here he is, center of attention, surrounded by toys ๐Ÿ™‚

Our weekend was relatively low key, which was nice because it will probably be the last weekend we’re there with Jared for awhile. He’ll start the Police Academy soon, and only be home on the weekends, so my plan is to visit my parents during the week. I figure it will help the time go by a lot faster!
Anyway, on Saturday the weather was beautiful, so we went outside. Lincoln had many toys to entertain him, but he found his sandal much more fun!

Saturday night my Mom brought out this little rocking chair that I had when I was a baby. Here is my sweet boy, rocking away!

We left right after lunch Sunday afternoon….here is Lincoln feasting on a massive amount of Puffs [after his lunch of course!]

We had a great weekend! It is crazy to think that Jared is going away so soon! I’m starting to get a little anxious about it, but I’ll have my sweet Lincoln, & we’ll help eachother get through it!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

We had a great weekend! Friday afternoon, my parents arrived from Rhode Island to spend the entire weekend with us. We had a huge cookout on Saturday with my Mom’s side of the family. Most of them haven’t seen our house yet, so they all surprisingly brought us housewarming gifts! We so didn’t expect that, but it was still very sweet of them ๐Ÿ™‚

Lincoln got SO much attention, of course. He loved every minute of it, & managed to function with only a 20 minute nap before they arrived.

We were able to get a group shot, thanks to Jared’s uncle who stopped by. Here’s the crew…

We also got a really cute picture of Lincoln with all of his big cousins. They refer to him as, “baby Lincoln.” ๐Ÿ™‚

And finally, after all that excitement wore off, Lincoln passed out on Grandpa…with his new green monkey stuffed animal ๐Ÿ™‚

A great time was had by all! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
