Would you laugh at me if I told you that we live on a Christmas tree farm, but have a fake tree? HA! I thought so.
While we’ve always had a real tree, last year we scored a fantastic deal on an artificial tree at the end of the season. It was really too good to pass up. Jared’s been wanting a fake tree for awhile now. He’s the one who has to take care of the real tree when we have one, so I figured I’d give it a go.
Lincoln was a bit confused at first. He usually goes to cut down his own tree on the farm, but he was thrilled with the size of this tree — and I’m sure my in-laws will have him help cut down their tree!
Anyways, we are really going all out decorating this year. I just feel like we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for. The tree is up. The stockings are hung. The village is out. The gingerbread house has been made. Garland is strung with twinkling lights. Presents are getting wrapped. Our Elf on the Shelf, “L,” has made his debut.
And I am blessed to share this holiday with my two little boys.
It’s going to be a magical Christmas.
