Just getting started? You’ll want to catch up by reading Day 1 and Day 2 first! Day 3 of the 2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration started off with a yummy, Disney Junior family breakfast sponsored by Alamo. I really love that Disney incorporates our families into this magical event.

After devouring our scrumptious breakfast (and copious amounts of coffee), it was now time for attendees to head off to the first part of our General Sessions. In all honesty, the General Sessions are always one of my favorite parts of the event. I love learning from the best of the best — DISNEY!!

Our sessions kicked off with Leanne and Mark. They jumped right into the morning session introducing Bob Chapek, Chairman Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Mr. Chapek enthusiastically told us everything new that is coming to Disney Parks!
Animal Kingdom is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, and there are many special events happening during this commemorative milestone.
Of course we are all anticipating the opening of Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios on June 30th. From the Slinky Dog Dash Coaster, to the Alien Swirling Saucers, it’s going to be a rootin’ tootin’ time!
We also learned all about Star Wars Galaxy Edge, which will open at Hollywood Studios in 2019. Also, a Star Wars inspired hotel will be CONNECTED to Galaxy Edge! How cool is that?!
Bob Chapek ended his session with taking a Selfie with us Disney Moms, AND Mickey and Minnie!

David Roark, Manager of Creative Photography at Walt Disney World Resort shared a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to create compelling still photographs that capture the magic of Disney Parks & Resorts!
Next on the agenda was an SEO presentation, led by Terry Cox. If you’re a blogger, then you are very much aware of how vital SEO is to success. SEO is something that always confuses the heck out of me, so I was on the edge of my seat hanging onto every last word.
We had a quick break to indulge in a ROSE GOLD CUPCAKE. Yes. You heard that right! It was just as yummy as it sounds (and looks). Next time you’re at Disney Parks, make sure you scoop one up…they’re available in many different varieties.

After that yummy deliciousness, we learned all about the 2018 Disney Studios Motion Picture Slate. There are so many INCREDIBLE (pun intended) movies coming out this year!
We also heard from Amy Stanford, Senior Editor of Babble. She focused on telling us how she develops creative stories.
Vera Sweeney, from Lady and the Blog, was representing Alamo. Vera talked to attendees about Family Travel. Something I am very passionate about.
Kristin Burr, producer of “Christopher Robin,“ delighted us with what went into creating Christopher Robin, which will release this summer. We saw a sneak preview, and it will surely tug at your heartstrings…especially if you grew up with Winnie the Pooh.

We closed out our general sessions with John Breckow, Director of Corporate Citizenship for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. John probably has one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. He oversees the philanthropic and giving effort across Disney Parks worldwide. What John and his team does on a daily basis, is incredibly admirable. Disney gives back every single day. Listening to John tell his stories, only made me love and appreciate the Walt Disney Company more than I already do.
2018 DISNEY SOCIAL MEDIA MOMS CELEBRATION SPONSOR SHOWCASE
After our inspiring sessions, us Disney Moms were now invited into the Sponsor Showcase. This was our opportunity to engage with the conference sponsors!
I also took this time for a few photos with some of the wonderful Disney team, Leanne and John, and Mark!
I was also so great to chat with a few of my blogging friends!

Elayna from The Positive Mom

Suzanne from Maple Mouse Mama

Melissa from The Mommyhood Chronicles
The rest of the day I spent at the Magic Kingdom with my family. We played Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, and we made sure to hit a few of our favorite rides.
Because we’re Disney Vacation Club Members, we decided to head to the Top of the World Lounge, located at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower for dinner.
Day 3 of the 2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was once again, MAGIC — filled with inspiration and learning, and connecting with some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. This would wrap up our land portion of the event. Tomorrow we would head out to sea!
I was invited to the 2018 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. I paid a nominal conference fee to attend and received discounted and complimentary items from Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and their sponsors. All magical opinions are my own.
This looks like a wonderful event! Love disney and love all the smiles in these pictures!
