Last year I never chose a “word” for my year. I really didn’t have the opportunity to with the accident happening right at the start of the year. However, looking back at our year, I would choose “brave.” With everything I went through, I really don’t think there is a better word. Although I was scared more than I have been in my entire life, throughout it all I remained brave. I was brave for my children. I was brave for my husband, my parents, my family, and friends. I was brave for myself.
This year I thought long and hard about what my word should be. I kept coming back to this quote…
And with that quote, I found my word. Believe. I have always been an optimistic person. Even in the hardest times, I am that person who is always looking for the best in everything. I am that person that believes anything is possible.
I really don’t think there could be a better word for me this year. 2016 is going to be a wonderful year for myself and my family. I am going to believe that many great things will happen.
