I received free products in order to host a #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate. All magical opinions are my own.
It’s no secret that our entire family loves Disney. My love for Disney started when I first visited Walt Disney World at 6-years old. I met my favorite princess, Snow White, and remember asking my mom if I could be Snow White when I grew up — of course my mom told me I could do anything I wanted when I got older. She has always been 100% supportive of my dreams, even from a young age. Since then, my love for Disney has only grown. My family are Disney Vacation Club Members. We try to visit at least twice per year. Disney is our second home. We recently returned from the 2017 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, and it was everything and so much more than I ever imagined. We’ve been having major Disney withdrawals, so when we were “pixie-dusted” to host a #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate, we leapt with excitement!
Hosting a #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate is relatively an easy process. Here is what you’ll need to plan yours!
All parties need invitations! Once you select on the theme of your party, it’s time to start brainstorming invitation ideas! We decided on a classic “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” theme — you can’t go wrong with the Fab Five! By using the HP Card & Invitation Kit along with the coordinating app, I was able to design an invite in UNDER 5 minutes!
Finding Disney themed decorations is so easy. We were sent classic Mickey Mouse Clubhouse decorations, so we decided to just add to that — tablecloth, napkins, paper plates, cups, and hanging decorations. Keeping it simple was really the key.
I always find parties to run much more smoothly if we have a few activities planned for the kids. Otherwise, we usually just end up with a bunch of kids running wild! Outside activities are usually my favorite for little ones, however, it was still a bit too chilly in the New England area. Instead, we decided on a fun craft — make your own Sorcerer Mickey Hats!
Once your hats are completed, make sure you try them on! My boys insisted on wearing them for the duration of the party!!
Simple usually works best — especially with little kids. We chose kids favorites. Mickey’s famous “Hot-Diggity-Dogs” and pasta salad.
As much as the kids loved their hot-diggity-dogs, the real treat was the Pixie-Dust Popcorn and Mickey’s Magic Wands!
We used PopSecret Popcorn and drizzled melted white chocolate on it, topped with green sprinkles! This will seriously be your new favorite popcorn!!
Because we made Sorcerer Mickey Hats, I thought it would be fun to have Mickey Magic Wands — Pretzel rods dipped in white chocolate topped with blue sprinkles!
HUGE HIT WITH THE KIDS!! Not only did they have their special Sorcerer Hats, they now had the Magic Wands to go with them — and they’re yummy too!!
Treats to Take Home
It’s always fun to be able to bring a part of the party home with you — kids happily brought their Sorcerer Mickey Hat home, we also had extras of Mickey’s Magic Wands. Along with that were themed goodie bags! Inside were all things kids love: Mickey stickers, bubbles, play packs, and even something for the parents — HP Social Media Snapshots! These 4×5 removable sticky backed snapshots are perfect for square Instagram images! You can even print them with the free app right from your phone!
We had a blast at our #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate! It always makes us excited for our next vacation back “home.” Must be time to start planning!!
