Lincoln only goes to preschool four afternoons each week. However, if there’s one thing I can be certain of, it’s that when he comes home…he is always starving!! I guess all that learning (playing) really works up a boys appetite!
I am constantly trying to find scrumptious afternoon snacks for him. I am always looking for different easy recipes with wholesome ingredients. The two keywords here being EASY and wholesome. Lincoln is an EXTREMELY picky eater. I sometimes have to get a little creative in the kitchen when making his snacks.
One of his (and mine) favorite snacks is this yummy Berry Granola Yogurt Parfait, featuring Quaker® Simply Granola.
— Berries of choice (we love strawberries and blueberries)
— Quaker® Simply Granola.
— Your yogurt of choice (we used vanilla flavor)
— Combine your berries and layer the bottom.
— Next scoop some yogurt to make the next layer
— Layer more berries
— Add a final layer of yogurt
— Top with Quaker® Simply Granola
— Serve and enjoy!!
Serving it in fancy glasses makes it taste even more yummy. Promise.
This snack is a huge hit with our entire family! I was able to locate all of the ingredients for the parfait at my local Walmart. While I was there, I noticed what a variety of products Quaker® carries! I think we’ve all heard of Quaker® Life, but there’s also Quaker® Real Medleys, and Quaker® Oatmeal Squares is one of my favorite cereals!! You can really get creative with these wholesome ingredients, to make your own little after school snack inspiration!
