Can you believe Lincoln is entering his SECOND year of preschool next week? Me either. With that being said, back to school shopping has commenced! Well, I have actually started a few weeks ago, but you know what I mean.
Unfortunately, the older Lincoln seems to get, the more difficult it is to find him clothing that I actually like. I’m not really big into camouflage or skulls — unless the skulls are somehow pirate related, then they’re okay.
Also? Lincoln is going to be 4 years old in November. Not only that, but he’s big for his age — which means, in some stores I’m shopping in the big boys section. NOT TODDLERS. To me, this is horrifying! It’s honestly even harder shopping in this department. Problem is, a lot of the clothing seems just too old for my little boy. Some of the graphic tees are just inappropriate for a preschooler in my opinion. It’s pretty slim pickings!
Taking all of that into account, it really still is possible to find cute clothing for boys. You just have to search for it. So with that, I bring to you a few of my favorite outfit ensembles for toddler boys.
Gymboree |
It’s a well-known fact that I love Gymboree. There’s no shocker that they wouldn’t be featured in this post. Lincoln loves dinosaurs…and I love that the dinosaurs are very subtle on this outfit.
Old Navy — Carters — Old Navy |
A few more classic looks, featuring Old Navy and Carters. A lot of people don’t like to send their kids to school in “good clothes,” because they’re afraid they’ll get ruined with all the messy activities they do. I have a bit of a different logic on this. I want Lincoln to wear nice clothes, and if they happen to get a little paint on them in the meantime, then so be it! Also? These outfits are all very affordable!
Gymboree |
Another little matchy matchy outfit from Gymboree. Some people don’t like their clothing because of its matchiness {I think I just made up a word}. However, that is one of the reasons I like it so much! Everything is just so coordinated!
Crazy 8 |
And last, this darling outfit from Crazy 8. They’re affiliated with Gymboree, however, their prices are a bit lower — which of course is always appealing!
I also have shopped at Gap, Children’s Place {my favorite store for jeans}, Kohls, and Target {of course!}. There is definitely not one exclusive store I can do my entire back-to-school shopping at. But, with scouring the racks {literally} at various places, Lincoln will be one styling little boy!!
