Consider this post a bit of a brain dump.
I finally am all caught up on scheduling doctors appointments. I have been putting off FOREVER finding a primary care doctor since I moved to Connecticut, five years ago. I know. Bad, very bad, Kami. Anyways, during one of Lincoln’s naptimes last week, I scheduled not only that, but also an orthopedic appointment, because, you know, having OI and all, it’s kinda important. And, I haven’t been to one in SEVEN years. Yeah. And at that, it was with my old orthopedist who’s been following me since I was a baby. He’s a pediatric orthopedist. I figured it was time to move on to a big girl ortho. Anyways. The last appointment I scheduled was with an ENT for a dreaded hearing test. Ten years ago I had inner ear surgery to correct my hearing loss. The surgery was only a temporary fix, and well, I know I have some significant loss in my left ear. More than likely I’m looking at a hearing aid. Blah.
I also made Lincoln his first dentist appointment. I scheduled it with a pediatric dentist in hopes that it will maybe be a little more “fun” for him? Maybe? We can hope.
I have also recently turned into a crazy lady, researching the Disney Vacation Club. I even talked to Jared about it, and we’re thinking it’s a possibility to buy in sometime in 2014!!! :::SQUEE!!!::: If you have any info on the Disney Vacation Club that you’d like to pass on, please comment below, or send me an email. I’d love to hear your recommendations!!
We went to Build a Bear this past week, and Lincoln insisted he get a wheelchair for his bunny. They actually sell little tiny wheelchairs for the stuffed animals. He thought it was the greatest thing ever. I wasn’t going to buy it for him, but Jared thought it was important that we did. He said something really sweet, “I’m Lincoln’s person, and I use a wheelchair. Of course he wants it.”
Lincoln named the bunny “Hop.” They’re pretty much inseparable right now. Although, I had to bribe him to not take the wheelchair to bed with him.
I started {finally} working out two weeks ago. I bought some kettlebells, and I’ve also been doing some floor exercises from my cheerleading days. I didn’t realize how out of shape I was, until I started exercising!! I really need to stick with this routine.
We’re still chugging along on the TTC baby #2 train. There’s not much to update on that, other than we’re not pregnant yet. As crazy as this sounds, the longer the time passes, the more comfortable I am with our little family of three dynamic. I’m not saying we’re “one and done,” or anything. But I know I could be 100% completely happy with our family as it is now. That being said, we do want another baby. Does that make sense, at all? Hah! Probably not!
Well, that’s all I’ve got! Enjoy your weekend!!
