One of my favorite things about Lincoln being in preschool is all the handmade art I get almost every day. This week, we got something extra special. He came home from school with a wrapped gift for Jared and me. He was SO excited for us to open it.
When I did open it, I seriously got attacked with more glitter than I have ever seen!
And….the cutest, sweetest ornament ever..
I love love LOVE it. It’s proudly displayed on our tree. And the happiness that I saw across my sons face when we opened his present, is a moment I will forever cherish.
I feel like I never talk about our sweet Evy pup. While she may look sweet and innocent in this photo, don’t let her fool you! Lately she’s been destroying anything and everything she can within our house! It looks like she’s having some major separation anxiety whenever we leave the house. While I hate to do it, we’re breaking out the crate again. Literally every single time we came home this week, something was destroyed. And, it was always something of Lincoln’s, which of course made it that much worse.
I know she’s completely doing it out of spite. The other day she was alone for 20 freaking minutes, and managed to destroy one of Lincoln’s Melissa & Doug wooden airplanes ๐
But she is still sweet, and we do love her.
Last night we started our holiday baking! Check out these yummy goodies…
They look pretty scrumptious, right?! And let me tell you, they are!!! In fact, I will have to make these again for Christmas, because there are only a few left!!
And for those who would like the recipe, it’s easy peasy:
What you need: either round or square pretzels, Hershey kisses, M&M’s.
-Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
-Line baking sheet with wax paper, and place pretzels on paper.
-Top with Hershey kisses.
-Place in oven. This is the tricky part, because there is no set time they’re in the oven. You have to carefully watch them, and watch the chocolate melt, but not melt TOO much. Ours were in the oven for about 3 minutes.
-When they come out of the oven, you top them with an M&M, and then place them in the freezer to harden.
That’s it.
And, they’re so freaking yummy!! Like I said, we need to make more ๐
So, there’s our week. Today I’m hoping to make some handmade ornaments with Lincoln.
This weekend we’ll finish getting the house ready for Christmas day. And then Monday, the festivities begin! I am so looking forward to celebrating with my little family this year. We have so much to be thankful for.
