With the Holidays approaching, & Lincoln’s 2nd birthday in just a few weeks, we decided it was time to get some family photos. We haven’t done any since Lincoln’s one year pictures, so I thought it was well over due.
Unfortunately, my sweet boy woke up in the middle of the night with a fever. Lincoln NEVER gets fevers. Like ever. I’ve been very lucky in that department, so needless to say I was a little freaked out. When he woke up in the morning, he was acting like himself, & he only had a small temp, so we decided to attempt the photos.
Well, we only got four decent shots. Yeah. I was pretty disappointed. Especially, because we have used this photographer since Lincoln was a wee little babe, and she has always been able to capture so many photos of him. He wasn’t miserable in the least. He just didn’t want to sit still. I know that’s normal because he is a very active toddler and all, but I was still a bit disappointed.
The shots we did get did come out good.
This was seriously the one and only one of him by himself. It was a struggle to get him to sit with Jared and me, but getting him alone was next to impossible.
And here’s my favorite. I think it captures how the shoot exactly went. A squirmy, silly little boy.
I think next time it might be best to have a photographer come to our house. Lincoln will probably feel more comfortable, and hopefully we’ll have more success.
It was an adventure, to say the least! At least I now have some photos to make our Christmas cards…which, I am probably way too excited about! OH, & I have a 2nd birthday to plan….I should probably get on that, eh?

They are adorable. It was impossible to get family photos at Carter's 2 year photo session. He did not want to take family pictures at all. Maybe next year =)

I love your family pics. We have to take some in a week and I'm a little nervous about my 23 month old being cooperative!!!
